Farah's silence deafening

In regards to Sheens future?? Anyone think so?? I think Farah's silence speak volumes about what he thinks might be required. Looks like the usual story of Sheens going underground and comfortably surviving another "review". We have all heard Benji is his boring, repetitive rubbish about Sheens being the best coach in the game and how everyone admires his style of play.

However the captain has been remarkably quiet with the coach under the gun in the press. Usually you here alot of support. I think Robbie might be letting the big wigs inside the Camp Concord corridors about what might be the best way forward. Of course if Sheens is still there in November, Farah will have no choice but to support the guru for another season. However my gut feeling is he wants a change and is sick to death of some of the stale and embarrassing efforts by the squad. Getting grilled about the team being soft, when he is anything but most of been tough to take. Watching the side fold up and play like a reserve grade outfit without him, equally as infuriating. Sheens moving to halfback again beyond comprehension.

If we want to lock up Robbie long term we need to try and shift the guru from his decade long reign. Anyway, his relative silence on the topic speaks volumes for me.

It's fair to say that Robbie has had other things on his mind.

Whoever ends up coaching WT next year, Robbie is going to have to give him total support and work with him closely, so shutting up now might be the wisest thing to do. His silence suggests to me that either he knows the axe has already fallen and he's just waiting for a public announcement of the new coach, or he knows there is no axe and Sheens will coach WT in 2013, as his contract says, so the less Robbie says the better.

Disagree with OP, This is incorrect in my opinion.

Robbie doesn't have to defend his coach at all.

Most of the fuss is here.

Pretty simple really

Damned if he does and damned if he doesn't

If he does defend Sheens then Robbie himself cops it the same way Benji did when he did his article on the weekend

Doesn't and someone starts this thread and says this

Agree he cant win

I think it's more likely after a very taxing period of Robbies life, he's just taking some time out. He did say in regards to the twitter troll that he is still grieving his mother, which is obviously no surprise. In fact it's probably just as hard now as it was at the beginning now he doesn't have footy everyday.

I think the OP might be close to the money.
Rarely do you not see the captain say something in support of the coach when he is attacked.
If the coach gets punted it's no slight on Farah as he has shown loyalty - in the end the board makes the decision and he could just say he's sorry to see him go and looks forward to working with the new coach.
This happens with every club.
Sometimes silence says a lot.

This is more like it,lets hope Robbie and the boys have a different coach next year, and our stocks will rise on that alone, players accountable for performances, players not playing out of position for weeks/months on end, bring it on please.

You have to understand one thing with all of our long serving Tigers

They know very little except Sheens apart from representative coaches

Probably explains why they are relunctant to change

Most people are resistant to change , even when it will make their jobs easier once they get used to it after a few weeks

But is not the players job to get rid of Sheens , its the boards and the CEO's job

If the players led a coup and it didn't come off , you may as well give us the wooden spoon for 2013 ,the club would be stuck in the foetal position for the season

Players do have an impact though, look at Brian Smith, media reports (if can be believed) were that he lost the support of the locker room.

lovin' the off season.

the time of season when you can just read without posting, brings a smile to your face.

around 6 months to go.. wow.

Agree they do Cunno , but if coups doesn't come off ….... coaches aren't fools and they are still human .

Can you imagine the carnage if Farah and Marshall said they wanted Sheens gone and he still stays

Chances are it would become public and the club would be in ruins to put it mildly

Farah is a real pro, he knows when its best to say nothing and its now one of these times. He is also a bloke who dosnt use the media and dosnt crave media exposure. Behind the scenes he would have let the right people know his feelings on the subject, and who knows what they are, and that is the way it should be. As I said he a REAL PRO
