Like always it was another long off season but so glad the first game is here and can't wait to see what the team throws up.

I'm hoping they compete ,scramble in defence, drop the errors and put on some good attacking options.

I think if they scramble in defence it shows commitment. I, too, hope hope they offer more in attack this year.

My daughter followed Roorters when she was pretty young and for some reason had a liking for Craig Fitzgibbon.

Eventually I wore her down by telling her that his father Allan was an old Balmain Tigers legend long before she was born and that he also played in the Tigers winning Grand Final team where, as underdogs, they defeated one of the scummiest teams of all time in a truly great victory.

These days her favourite jersey is a replica 1989 Balmain jersey, mainly because you can't get hold of a 1969 jersey and of course follows those other underdogs, The Wests Tigers.

They've had a good grounding in patience and perseverance. And probably anger-management! Will be more than worth it once we finally come good👍.

My son has a stock standard line he always goes to after watching me turn the tv off in disgust after another insipid performance: "I keep telling you to support a team that is good". Poor fella has been totally turned off WT after year upon year of my yelling at the telly. Hope he gets back on for the ride in the next few years.
