Just found out that I am going away to Surfers Paradise on the Saturday of the 3rd week of the finals :frowning: Have the NRL released the scheduling for the finals games after week 1? I know the Tigers still have a long way before they are playin in the semis but id hate to miss a game in Sydney.

I don't so, but the schedule will be Friday night and Saturday night for the preliminaries. They will follow the format from last years. Doesn't matter though, the finals schedule is so result-driven that you'll know when the Tigers game is at MOST 7 days beforehand.

On the Saturday night Week 2 of the finals I am going to see Metallica @ Acer Arena. Hopefully if we play that week we play on the Sunday. I am hoping we finish in the top 2 and win in Week 1 of the finals and then we would have Week 2 off and go straight to Week 3.

Is it? The 2 games in Week 3 of the finals used to be on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. Well it was in 2005.

Thanks mate just hope to God that its a Friday game

Week 3 wont be on a friday mate.

From memory last year, Eels vs Bulldogs was a Friday night, Storm vs Broncos a Saturday night.

Either way, there are only 2 Sunday games in the finals series, 1 vs 8 and the Grand Final.

Alien is right, it was Saturday night/Sunday arvo in 2005, but they changed it in 2008 or last year due to ratings.

Just to confirm, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_NRL_season_results#Preliminary_finals

I remember being stuck in Quenbeyan for week 3 of the finals in 2005\. Even though I wasn't at the game, it was still a memorable night…
