Folau - valued at $400K - go for it !

You'd have to say he's not the sharpest tool in the shed

Why after most clubs have sured up their salary caps for 2013 , would you make yourself available to join the NRL on big bucks

Bye Bye Izzy , don't let the door hit you on the way out

We did the same the thing with lote 400k for a winger/centre i'll pass thanks. Resign what we have right now we have the team to win the comp as long as the boys are mentally right the tigers will be alright. If we sign izzy we lose a lot of young talent

No loss the man is just money hungry and unless something changes in his attitude to sport he will not reach his potential or any where near it

But he's gonna make a tidy living.
Folau has every right to take the highest bid, in whichever sport that may come .. Rugby union apparently.

No use getting upset about it … There are worse crimes than saying 'No' to rugby league.

Sorry who is Folau?

We all know who he is, yet I dont know you, you dont know me.
Some sour grapes in here
Who cares
Good luck to him…kid from Minto made good, plenty end up at the other end yet we still bag success

He will be back in a year or so and their will be plenty of clubs ready to throw lots of money his way.I just think his days as a elite rugby player and by that I mean league and union may have gone, time will tell

Yeah, you're right happy …gorging on too many of those discounted Players Rich Tea biscuits has given Snodgrass a decidedly soft underbelly.
I'll try and harden up in time for the preseason hitouts.

I hear that famous Gym is up and running now with its perfect Feng Shui for good spirits

I think we both might need to go and harden the hell up Supposedly there is some old bearded homeless guy in the gym that keep saying something about the difference between reasons and excuses that wants 900k and how that we need to resign John Morris back and play him at 7

Just to let you blokes know Warren Snodgrass played for the mighty Newtown Jets as well.

Thanks benj, yes 1973 had totally slipped my ability to recall … Who'd have figured it preceded 1974 so smartly.
I have made the appropriate adjustments to the base of my post ... However duly note that WS stands for Warren Snodgrass as easily as it does Western Suburbs.

RIP Jack Gibson ... Who coached Snoddy at Newtown and of course was also a former Magpie prop.

Thanx scoop….He won a GF....

If you mean Melbourne 2007, no he didn't: that was stripped, because the team was cheating.

Heard the man this morning on 2KY.
He said words to the effect of that the NRL and Parra kept on changing the offer and that he needed to go where he was offered a solid contract.
Sounds about right. I believe him.
The NRL kept changing the goalposts, they gambled and lost. Frankly, it is nothing new.
How anyone can blame Folau is beyond me. If we are blaming anyone it should be the NRL. It is them that let a marquee player slip through their fingers.

Well, except for Folau's track record:
2008: Leaves Melbourne for Brisbane "to be closer to his family".
2010: Leaves Brisbane for GWS "for the challenge".
2012: Joins the Waratahs instead of Parramatta "because the contract kept changing".

I'm not saying players aren't entitled to follow the money if they want. It's a short career and I don't blame them at all. But don't expect people to believe the kind of rubbish that gets trotted out.
