The Souths fans I know are perplexed about it too. They have Luke/Peats and some U20s hooker who is apparently coming along nicely.

I can't see how we could possibly lose Farah unless he wants to go tbh. In my opinion he is the greatest Wests Tiger in our short history, ahead of Benji Marshall. He's damn close the best number nine in the game and would be in the top 20 hookers to have ever played the game for mine (that's being conservative). The real kicker is that we have no standout young hookers ready to take over next year. Hand him a cheque and tell him to write his own figure.

If I was a club in the market for a hooker, I'd be looking @ Jake Friend, good pick up.
And Mortimer is going to be a bench hooker this year as well, he might be looking for an NRL start somewhere... Doesn't go too bad at hooker from what I've seen in the trials and whatnot.

Cameron smith = over rated.
Suggesting Crocker can play at hooker, buying Jake Friend to replace Farah and saying Smith is overrated really devalues your post. **Is Cam Smith on the hate list now Luke Burt has retired?**
Any team Smith plays for grows a leg. If Farah left tomorrow, I'd be prepared for the Tigers to throw the kitchen sink at Smith if he were available.
Smith always has been on the hate list IMO…..major player in the Storm cheating shame/disgrace and general all-round neck-grappling, chicken-winging, cannon-balling, leg-twisting grubby piece of excrement the bloke is. Hated with an absolute passion.
I'll admit that he is a good player but as far as "any team he plays for grows a leg", well I reckon that he hasn't played in any piss-poor teams so it is pretty hard to say that for sure. I mean, any player in the NRL could captain Australia or Queensland to victory. I would really like to see how he would go in a bottom-of-the-ladder type team, without all of the superstar back-up he usually has.

I know it was a while ago, but Cameron Smith was one of the key players in making Melbourne the Champion Team it is today…
Further to that, Cameron & Lockyer were also integral in building the current Qld Dynasty... They both played in many loses, before they found the way to lead their players to victory.
He shouldn't now be looked down upon because it appears he has an easy job?!

True. IMO he is moreso treated with disdain and hatred by many people due to his involvement in the Storm cheating embarrassment and his grubby tactics on the field, just a shame it isn't still like the good ol' days when he would have got a beating for some of the crap he carries on with in tackles.
Many of the current QLD players have been in QLD SOO team for a while as well though, it ain't just him and Lockyer that built the castle they currently have there.
