For the EPL fans...

Its hard to follow the A-League when you see the quality of English football, even the championship and League 1 are better quality.
English football is world class, and even though I follow it a bit, the A-League is close to park football.

This years' Brisbane Roar side are the probably the most classy team I have seen in the A-League since its inception.

No team in the A-League can pull off the long ball game like the EPL teams and to watch them attempt it is just embarrassing.

Neck and Neck for me, though I lean ever so slightly the other way.

I'm thinking we are of a very similar vintage

My signature will give you a hint of what vintage I am Spartan.

Giggs is 37 and still playing fantastic football. Only player to have won 11 Premier League titles also.

I have to say though, Dimitar Berbatov is fast becoming a favourite of mine also, he doesn't do alot of work, but he's an excellent finisher, and works very well with Nani.

Sydney FC signing Brett Emerton >>>>>>>>>> Tards signing Harry Kewell.

Sydney signed an actually footballer, the Tards have signed an expensive marketing tool.

Kewell is the better signing off the field, he'll bring the media circus to the A-League to make it relevant
Emerton is by far the better signing on the field as he's not broken down and still has plenty of years left in him.

Both players will kill it when they play

Bayern fan here, couldn't care less about the EPL, can't wait to wipe the floor with City in the Group Stages this year

My favourite EPL team for the past 50yrs is Wolverhampton Wanderers, who knows they may even finish higher than 17th place this year, as Wolves fans we never lose faith.
Favourite player in the last 10yrs was that classy Dutchman Denis Berkamp, shame he played for Arsenal.
Sydney F.C.in the A-League.

Calling group A the group of death is an understatement. I hope City bomb out big time there, watching them buy the FA Cup last year was sickening.

Everton off the mark for the year. Absolute garbage for 90 minutes then a stoppage time penalty to win it, after Blackburn missed 2 of them.

I think Blackburn will suffer without Emerton. They're devastated he's going and were pleading that we take Vince Grella instead!

No doubt,

I fully expect Bayern and Villareal to progress

Never discount the yellow submarine!

City won't bomb out, they have the squad to challenge for the prem league title and could possibly give the Champions league a shake. They have too much quality to bomb out soo quickly unfortunately :/
