Love Manu U, in particular when Ooh Ahh Cantona was playing for them. Can't stand the A league. It doesn't matter how much money you throw at it or how much lip stick you put on it, it's still a pig.

No disrespect to Kewell's talent, but he's getting on in years and terribly injury prone. In addition, he has used the A-League as a last chance saloon if he couldn't lock up a deal in Europe or the Middle East which is exactly what happened and he has bled a club for all they're worth in the process (even if it is the Tards, it's still wrong,) whereas Emerton wanted to come home and had been expressing his desire for a while to come and finish up in the A-League.
No doubt about it, both signings will garner great interest in the sport but there's no doubt barring a horrific injury, Sydney have definitely got the better player in terms of shelf life and ability. Emerton has probably prolonged his career by moving back when he has and most importantly, the juniors will benefit from a player with his experience and ability.

I just want to make special mention of my Hammers (West ham United) Last 3 matches they have had players sent off in 7th minute, (and won) away from home ,Played the equal top side Sothhampton one short and drew 1-1 for around 50 minutes and on Tuesday beat Blackpool (top 5 side) 4-1 away from home without their keeper (sent off with 48 minutes left and with no back up keeper on the bench .

I don't think Arsenal will finish top 4 this year either (which is probably what I meant in that quote), based on their current form they are probably going to cop 3 hidings in a row (Spurs, Liverpool and Newcastle). The only reason they're still in contention for the top 4 is because Chelsea and Liverpool can't get it together this season either, and Newcastle just aren't on their level yet.

United aside, I have a soft spot for Arsenal, have always found their brand of football entertaining. Was particularly sad to see their midfield in tatters in the wake of Nasri and Cesc leaving. They'll probably get done by Tottenham, but they're much more likely to beat the Scousers and Toonies.

I think Arsenal's next few seasons may hinge on their finish to this season. If they fail to make the champions league, they may just lose Van Persie which will have them in a lot of trouble. They're really feeling the effects of letting 2 class players go without replacing them. I like Arsenal a hell of a lot more than Liverpool, Chelsea and City, so if the Toonies fall away I hope they jag 4th place, but I'm not sure they will.
I am also hoping United knock City off the top if Spurs can't, I have seen Man U win it enough that I would be at peace with it, unlike City, they don't buy a whole team in 3 seasons, it was disgusting watching them win the FA Cup last season, the only thing worse would be watching them win the premier league.

as a city supporter i think itll be hard for them to have the consistency to hold of man u but i will support them til the end.
contrary to belief they havent bought they're whole squad micah richards and joe hart are juniors they have brought the ranks and with the champions league having 4 players who were trained at the club for 3 yrs under the age of 21 shows that no club will be able to "buy" a title if they are serious about the champions league.
realistically though its a shame that there the limit on foreign players is so large with only 8 out of the 25 players over 21 need to be trained in England for 3 yrs under 21 which is a real shame as it means the top teams are going out and buying internationals from so many different countries and it should be more the other way around with only 8 players allowed to be foreign players

Maybe the Chelsea's , Man U's,Tottenham etc Need to create their own superstars and managers and stop stealing them from West Ham
