For "those" that think we're not improving

I'm torn. Ideally we keep Luke on a lower contract, but I doubt he'll go for it as he'll get more in the market. He's not worth $1m to the team with Hastings there.

So, it will be forced out of our hands. Just hopefully we don't lose both him and Jock and that we've learned from how paps and teddy played out. Not that these two are at that level, just similar scenario.

Get the intent on the thread but at the same time we let the Bulldogs score the most points they have scored for ages. We lost to the Warriors, Titans, Knights and Dragons.

Reality is we just had a wooden spoon battle and are 3 wins already out of the 8 (F&A) and not even half way through the season.

With our current squad we aren’t on the up & won’t play finals unless something drastic changes.

The fact we are looking for hope in other teams results says it all really.
That puts it in perspective.

Starting to get some troops back .. injuries have played a huge part no one can doubt that.. tough start to the year.. The younger guys are getting valuable experience..

The back half of the season from Origin onwards will tell the story for mine on improvement..

If we play with the same intensity and effort we have displayed in the majority of games so far this year with a healthier Roster I expect more wins than losses ..

Will it be enough to force us into the 8 at a minimum ..not sure.. Will it bode well for 2023 I think so..

Man that hurt.
Arguably 2 of the best fullbacks in the last few yrs and we had both.

There will be a team vibe building with a few wins that brings confidence out in the young guys. Look at Panthers and now the young guys in the Cowboys. We might not make the eight but I think singing the song in the sheds a few more times will keep them wanting more.

Liddle is available to negotiate a new deal in November. Negotiate a swap for an early release, similar to what we did to get Laurie early

Everyone talks up Bellamy and Robinson as god-like, but lately it seems like a few injuries to their star-studded squads and their teams struggle, with rosters that are still better than ours.
It think Felise Kaufusi and the Bromich brothers are not up to it. They are steady and experienced but I think the Storm will get a boost out of them leaving. Put younger hungrier 2nd rowers in.

I hope we're smart enough to try and use Liddle as a bargaining chip to help fill a position in need

There is no way in hell that we can do this. We told him ages ago he can go. He hasn't gone anywhere.

It's pretty obvious no club is rushing to get him let alone trade for him.

Plenty of 1st choice Hookers get injuries. I would have though the bulldogs, manly or the knights would need a backup.

Re a trade their are ALOT of things that have to be agreed before they can happen.

It's why it doesn't happen often because clubs just can't force a trade....

If Lids doesn't want to go we can't force him to be traded.
We may want player x but then player x needs to also agree.
Salary cap & roster management
Players may only move if its a trade and extend deal
