Forward pack

I think it will be

8\. Woods
9.Farah
10\. T Grant
11\. Siro
12\. Lawrence
13\. Sue (Edwards putting pressure on)

Reserves
Ava
Edwards
Halatau
Griffin

there will be injuries, so they will get their chances over the year.

I reckon this is the best pack we can run with. Basically 6 props in Woods, Grant, Sue, Ava, Edwards and Griffin. Halatau to spell Sironen and Lawrence.

At some point I think Cherrington may have to be picked and one of Edwards or Griffin drop off.

Woods and Sue will be doing the most damage to opponents up the middle. Looking forward to seeing Grant in Tigers colours as well.

In terms of our biggest Meter eaters. Woods no 1 , Grant no 2 two , for mine.
In terms of our defence getting the opposition reeling back. Sue no 1, Edwards no 2.
Ava is half way between and meter eater and a punisher.

Josh aloiai could be a possible Meter eater and punisher but I am stumped on Dallas Graham.
Can anyone tell me what Dallas Graham's abilities are and if he could become a meter eater or punisher.

Who will be our driving force or forces in the forward pack and why?

This is basically what I meant.

Anchors stop the ship not push it forward

Firstly,I knew what you were getting at swag tiger.
Secondly i think your on the money Goose.and yes, looking forward to seeing the other boys thrown in there through out the season.
Billy in particular.

on the grape vine i heard that edwards is not coping with the training and is unfit, has anyone one else heard anything?

I suspect our starting pack will be:

8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Grant
11\. Sironen
12\. Lawrence
13\. Edwards

14\. Seumanufagai
15\. Sue
16\. Chee Kam
17\. Cherrington/Ballin

Does anyone think Matt Ballin is doing anything else but playing NSW Cup? Didn't really finish up the way he had expected nor Taylor. To be honest i feel sorry for Ballin, he has given his all for Manly over the years and deserves better.

Haven't heard that. I have heard that along with Tyler Cassel he is the best defender in the club as far as technique and effectiveness is concerned.

Graham is not the biggest front rower, but probably one of the strongest. I do recall when he was in the 20's he made the most metres of our forwards after contact in attack. He looked very powerful early last season before he injured his shoulder. He has a decent motor too.

Sue has gotta start somewhere….prob at 13 with grant starting at prop

I would have Edwards start in front of him at 13 to absorb the early defensive punishment and bring Sue and Seumanufagai on when Woods and Grant need a spell. My personal thinking is that this combination provides a bit more energy and impact off the bench.

I've read that Edwards and the Ipswitch boys can play 2nd row? Does anyone know how they go their? Our 2nd row does not give me much confidence so it would be good to see two workhorses protecting Brooks and Moses.

8\. Woods (shoe in)
9\. Farah (shoe in)
10\. Grant (most likely)
11\. Lawrence (most likely)
12\. Sironen/Halutau/Edwards (up for grabs)
13\. Sue (most likely)

14\. Cherrington/Ballin (I think Farah should be playing 80 but it won't happen)
15\. Ava (shoe in for the bench)
16\. Up for grabs
17\. Up for grabs

8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Grant
11\. Lawrence
12\. Sue
13\. Edwards

14\. Chee-Kam
15\. Griffin
16\. Seumanufagai
17\. Halatau
