The referring on forward passes this season has been atrocious
They dont know the rule
I believe the rule should be revised to say "ballant forward pass"
Most of these "forward " passes dont not give an advanatage to attacking team
The forward passes at the ruck should be ruled as offside and penalty given

I would like to the forward pass be ruled on by the video ref in try scoring situations.

The NFL are able to use a virtual line to track yardage - so I think the NRL should be able use similar technology to see whether a pass has been thrown forward or not. It should be simple enough to tell whether a pass was thrown back and floated forward, or was thrown forward full stop.

I agree - in this day and age i would be very surprised that some IT nut couldn't whip together a program in 10 minutes that would overcome the constant excuse of camera angles.

I count up to 15-20 forward passes a game and find it very frustrating… The majority of these passes are deliberate, but I think you will find Robbie & Benji are 2 of the worst offenders.

It's something which is coached these days and gains considerable advantage to the attacking team.

Introduce a coaches challenge, have one each half only for try scoring situations. If a coach thinks there was a forward pass thrown leading up to or in the play that led to a try, the coach has the opportunity to get the video ref to watch the replay and if there was a pass that was missed it gets pulled up.

But that is progress. The touch judge mafia will be after you. It would finally make them redundant. They don't do anything except get it the way of a good view at the footy. We use drones to fight wars on the other side of the world and send probes to Mars but noone can give us a simple line on the tv.

At the moment we are very lucky that referees are poor when it comes to forward passes. Robbie Farah has to be the king of getting away with forward passes. If they start cracking down on it he will have to improve.
