One of the best ads the NRL ran was the one where the sound was of a screaming revving V8 engine accompanying brutal on-field collisions etc and then it fades out with the black and white image of Simon Woolford sitting on the bench with steam rising off him and the throaty engine just idling. That was a unique and great idea.
