How many of us have gotten into a bit of push and shove or a few punches in the past?
I can't believe people are putting this crap on social media.
I haven't seen it or want to see it - but it makes me feel he should have got hit harder.

Never CK

That's the only reason you hang around the props for while having a drink

Too stupid to have a half intelligent conversation with that's for sure

All they wanted to do was head butt things when they got pissed

Hate to break it to you Happy but my last few games were at fullback - nobody in the team could tackle except me and I was the last line.
Puts me in the backline boat with you - except for different reasons I imagine.

Exactly CK, most people have had a bit of a scrap in their time. People sit back behind their computers and tell everyone fighting is wrong and blah blah blah. But at the end of the day, boys will be boys and sometimes it happens. I'm not condoning belting people but sometimes idiots need a quick right to put them in their place. It's just a shame that the majority of blues these days aren't like the old days where it was a quick blue and it's done and dusted. These days it's all in, 3 on 1 rubbish. I've personally had a young bloke pull a knife on me just because I looked at him. It's a dangerous world now and your best option is to avoid it unless you have no other option but to put up the Des and Troy and let them have it.

You must be around my vintage lol
A blue started and ended pretty quick between two blokes - and no one else got involved.
After it was over the bloke who won bought the other bloke a beer and shook hands.
End of story.

Mate I'm in my 20's. The uncles told me of these glorious days, always started with "back in my day" and ended with "that wouldn't happen back in my day." I've had a few stinks where it has ended as you say, people move on and that's that and I admire it. I must admit I'm pretty filthy about how most young people carry on when they're out these days (girls are just as bad as the blokes). Spoilt, literally no respect, think they're invincible and with the added influence of drugs and booze, half of them are a time bomb. This gym junkie trend that's come out over the last few years is ridiculous and hasn't helped slow the violence rate, with people thinking their gods gift because they can pick up a milo tin. Testosterone and roids are as easy to buy as a panadol at the servo and the result is you have an angry obnoxious mix of wannabe Rocky Balboa's throwing haymakers until one connects and some poor kids fighting for his life after hitting the concrete.

It's a sad reality.

So the guy admits to mouthing off. Cops one on the beak and now cries to the media and Police. How embarrassing

And cried on social media and posted pics. That does him no favours.

So based on his "testimony" on Facebook, FPN chased him outside because he overhead him say the Roosters are sh*t? Yeah sure - that sounds believable!!

I wonder if the guy can be charged for making false statements to the police and on social media?

Just go old school

Lock this bloke in a cell and throw FPN in the cell with him so he does have a right to complain about FPN hitting him :smiling_imp:

'Roosters suck' sparks Sydney assault

This story was published: 1 hour ago October 20, 2014 1:04PM

PUBGOER Christopher Downey said "Roosters suck" to NRL player Frank-Paul Nu'uausala outside an eastern Sydney hotel early on Sunday morning.

MOMENTS later, Mr Nu'uausala's friend Mulinuu Unasa punched Mr Downey in the face.
A solemn-looking Unasa pleaded guilty at Waverley Local Court on Monday to assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He will be sentenced in December.

Court documents show that after Mr Downey delivered the verbal swipe outside the Golden Sheaf Hotel in Double Bay, Mr Nu'uausala followed the 35-year-old onto the street. In tow was Unasa, 29\. Mr Downey and Mr Nu'uausala had a verbal altercation at a set of traffic lights and Unasa came up behind his friend and punched Mr Downey in the face, sending him backwards onto the ground.

Mr Nu'uausala and a friend of the victim went to the aid of Mr Downey, who was treated for a broken nose at St Vincent's Hospital.

The court heard Unasa was already on a six-month good behaviour bond for an altercation with a taxi driver. Unasa was convicted of common assault and not paying a taxi fare in September. His lawyer Barry Bunton said Unasa admitted to having 10 drinks before throwing the punch but denied to police he was affected by alcohol. Unasa, who was supported in court by his girlfriend, was granted bail on the condition he not drink alcohol, not contact Mr Downey and live in Maroubra.

The Sydney Roosters said on Sunday they had informed the NRL integrity unit about the assault after learning of Mr Nu'uausala's involvement

"admitted to having 10 drinks before throwing the punch but denied to police he was affected by alcohol" - uhhhh what?

Unasa is FPU friend ? :crazy … Time to find new friends Frank. Preferably ones that don't act like idiots when they're on the drink.

"Mr Nu'uausala and a friend of the victim went to the aid of Mr Downey, who was treated for a broken nose at St Vincent's Hospital." - This is the reaction a footballer should have when anyone punches someone as it is the right thing to do - you can't be blamed for who your mates are but you can be congratulated for how you react

I think everyone has a friend who is a nutjob on the grog , but is the nicest person off it

Would give you their liver (if it was any good ) if you needed it

Hmm… Somehow I think there were more words exchanged than "Roosters suck". Oddly enough the victim didn't mention FPN going to his aid post incident. No NRL player = no story, just another mindless punch on out on the drink.

No doubt

While i dont condone what happened to him, he went looking for trouble…he found it.

I don't disagree, but Frank is a professional footy player and always in the spot light. Some kids might even look up to him. He has had behavioural problems while on alcohol himself in the past so he knows the importance of keeping a low profile and not be out at all hours of night drinking with his " nut job" friend in public. Frank didn't do any thing wrong this time, but all the same he is implicated by association. There's a good reason why parents tell their children to choose their friends wisely.

I should try that with RBT.

And let's face it: If he admitted to 10 he probably had twenty.
