Former Wests Tigers Grand Final winner Pat Richards scored 5 tries in Wigans demolition of Catalans, the Warriors coasted to a 54-0 win over the Dragons after being up 36-0 at the break.
The Bradford Bulls struggled to put away Salford 7-0, Hull FC with a strong game from former Tiger Willie Manu were not troubled by an injury plagued London Harlequins running out 28-4 winners, Quinns were gallant in defeat and only had a smattering of imported players.
St Helens came from 12 points down to defeat Wakefield Wildcats 22-16, Saints veteran hooker Keiron Cunningham scored a try in his 500th appearance in what most have been a difficult game for him as his mother passed away during the week, I got the impression that if it had been an away game he would not have played.
Unusual to have 4 games on a Friday night but there is the World Club Challenge featuring the ESL champions Leeds up against the Melbourne Storm, Leeds haven't been spectacular in recent weeks probably because of this game coming up, the Crusaders will appreciate having the week off to give them more time to work on their combination and will be going for a hat trick next week against Warrington, former Tiger Rocky Trimarchi has been a standout for the fledgling Welsh club, Rhys Hanbury is yet to play, another player to impress for the Crusaders is Nick Youngquest who I thought would do well for the Tigers but sadly failed to do so.
