$$$ from playing away

My only issue playing home games at SfS or anywhere bar Leichardt or Campbelltown is do we get enough home ground advantage playing there . If we win more games obviously we will attract more bigger sponsors with more money so we could do without playing games elsewhere Results come first in my opinion and many of the other issues will sort themselves out because of the good reults ie Sponsors , Memberships etc

The combined populations of our home regions is approx 500'000, yet we still only have 8000 Members. Of that 8000, I'd perceive only 50% actually reside in these home regions. Its a pretty poor business case, justifying our existence should be maintained within these regions.

At the very least, the Wests Tigers should be targeting the whole Greater Sydney Region and play there home games at a venue which has the infrastructure to accommodate a wider target audience.

Tribalism died!

Nah mate, tribalism is alive and well. Just ask all the old Balmain and Wests supporters that now follow the Wests Tigers.

Me too.
Like god, I think they don't exist.
The Wests Tigers are a joint venture (you know, like a marriage) where two entities collaborate for mutual benefit – as opposed to a merger or takeover. See you Pre-Game at the Orange Grove on Monday night where you can count all the Wests Tigers supporters that don't care about Balmain or Wests by looking in the mirror in the dunny.

a very basic view point from some of you without the sfs staging games the clubs ability to attract sponsors and corporate dollars would be limited somewhat and place the clubs business model under strain. Ubnfortunately its not just about playing games at home.

On to you montague street in 20 years time the last remnants of balmain and wests will be pretty much extinct just ask the 10-15 year olds what they think of balmain or wests and they'll laugh at you. Time to move on

The 10 to 15 year olds?
I don't know any. My kids are adults now. And very much respect the tradition of the founding clubs.
