Frustrated but in perspective

As frustrated as i am, that was easily our best game of the year. I know how dumb our final ten minutes was and i know we have done it before BUT that waqs easily the best we have played and the best we have defended all year.
Dont get me wrong i am so peeved, however in perspective much improved and we were the better team for 73 minutes.

yes we played well, we failed to close out the final 7 minutes of a game.. no surprise.

in reality if we lost like that as the first game of the season we'd all be excited. Unfortunately we just had 3 piss poor games, and that has given away top 4 spot.

We might sneak into the finals and get to semi's, but until supercoach decides to teach them how to play in the final 10 minutes there are no more premierships forthcoming.

I'm gutted purely for this reason. We were dominant and constructed a great 75 minutes, probably should have been up by more than 12, then just 5 bad minutes which costs us the game…Unbelievable.

But good signs, I still give us a big chance of beating the Broncos on Friday and if we can win that, we have a 3 winnable games to come after that with Penrith, Parramatta and Gold Coast before a bye. Things go to plan, and our season could well be back on track.

Worst loss this season, this is the only game we should've won so far this season and we lost through stupid options in attack.

We were good for 73 minutes,and soft for the rest,that is our season,soft play for any amount of time is no good.
We have no back bone,and today proves what has been exposed(3 times by souths) over the years,our blokes clock off at 75min,maybe they should be in reserve grade,where they play 70mins,this is the worst team in a long time.

Yep - we were actually really good out there for most of the game. On the whole it was smart footy, our defence was great and the effort fantastic.

The problem is that we really needed that win and we should have closed it out. Benji stuffed up big time. Some of that marker defence when Luke scored was atrocious.

Do you need a loss like that to change your mindset and come out of a losing streak?
