Ivan is happy with what he picked, good-o, so am I then.

Tui wasn't reading the play at all and was caught out quite a number of times, and he wouldn't run the ball, and he still looks like he has a spare tyre

And he is still a better full back than Thompson who is a good winger.

He might be if was fit, but on form displayed so far no chance

I think he is fit, I also think his knee is not 100% and he can't stretch out as normal.
Hence, decrease in speed and chiming into the backline.

Anyway we differ as usual.

If that is true why risk further injury in ISP..seems odd

Thompson is clearly the better at FB….he follows the play, pops up everywhere, positionally bang on and in defense chases like a drovers dog.

I'm a Lolo fan but he just isn't in Coreys league atm.

There has been an agenda against Tui on here before he even signed with us, its really quite bizarre. What other player wins his team a game then has a thread about him asking if he should be dropped.

I had (and still have) high hopes for Tui as a fullback, but last week he was slow and did not seem committed. Hope it is a knee problem as an injury generally takes less time to bounce back from than a poor attitude and lack of commitment

Umm no, it was a team effort, Tui didn't win us anything. He missed an easy kick making the sideline kick necessary.

He really has offered nothing in attack, it is hardly surprising that Ivan has favored Thompson. Thompson at fb and Nofa on the wing is a much better side.

I don't know Geo, maybe part of it is psychological - how could he not be fit with basically a full season last year, the World Cup and a hard pre season (although joined late) and games so far this season. As I have stated before I don't think he is the normal FB shape, more a Grahame Eadie / Ken Thornett shape (both Australian FB's and that shape did not do them any harm).

He is a FB that likes to chime in, likes to ball play and interact with his centres and wingers, tries to make ground through tired forwards and is good in cover defence. All these areas you need a bit of speed etc. He seems to be reluctant to be involved in these things at the moment and stretch out which is why I lean towards an excuse of perceived injury.

Maybe Ivan has sussed this out and put him in ISP until he comes out the other end.

Still stand by my belief that given both fit and well he is the better full back. Hopefully one day he will prove it.

That just proves my point. He kicks one from the sideline to win a game, and people get offended at the thought of him getting any credit.

Sure it was a clutch kick, credit to him for kicking it in the pressure situation. I've got nothing against Tui I hope he comes good especially considering he is our first choice goal kicker. I just want the best team picked.

**Is this about Thompson playing FB again and Nofo up from reggies to the wing?\
\
Pleeeease!!!!!!**

Ouch, that has gotta hurt, Ivan didn't get the memo

I wasn't suggesting moving Thompson to FB and promoting Nofo, maybe more so that we need a higher quality FB in our squad, how that happens is in Ivan's best interest but we have the opportunity before 30th June with decent money at our disposal.

Remembering how cleary played tedesco last year he loved tedesco around the ruck and would make a lot of dummy half runs. I do not see tui doing that at all.

Highly doubt anyone is available this season.

Too bad we are light on centres too kev could have had a crack at full back.

I think tui is displaying he is a 6 not a 1.

100% right!

Excites at the halves, throws good passes and can find gaps.

My silly idea is to swap Brooks and Tui. Tui has the right attitude to control the team and better kicking and passing. Luke has the running game of a Fullback, a good pass and loves finding gaps.

Ofcourse this is silly. But both Tui and Brooks are not exactly matched to their positions. Tui is definately a better 5/8.

\
But lets see him once his leg has recovered. Stop hammering injured players, for playing like they are injured.

The halfback is not a problem that we need to try and stuff up.

Tui passes the ball to supports, tedesco used to run around in ever diminishing circles if he couldnt beat someone

I’m not sure on Tui yet.
But who else can snap a clutch kick from the chalk to win us a game?

For all we know Thompson is a sharp shooter. There is nothing that bloke can't do.
