Just heard on the footy show Beau Ryan announced he spoke with Fulton today and he is not playing this weekend….the NRL has ruled him ineligible to play.

Will Hopoate was knocked silly a few minutes after Mannah was concussed in the very first tackle of the Parra/NZ game….he was clearly concussed, wobbly, disorienatated...Cherry Mescia didnt know what to do.
He stayed on...they didnt want to use two i/changes in the first 5 mins

Probably the best thing Liam sits out....it was a heavy heavy knock

Yeah definately for the best Liam misses this week. More harm can be done then good.

Big loss …. Seemed to be a turning point last week.
Going to be hard to win up there .... Although they were pretty ordinary on Monday night.

I'm guessing this will mean we'll see Blair on the edge for times on sunday, cant imagine bodene and Paterson both playing 80\. Hoping Paterson has a strong game to make up for his shocker on Sunday.

There's no shame in wearing headgear, and in Liam's case it could prolong his career and prevent permanent damage. Not the dangerous gridiron type contraptions of course, just the lightweight variety ala Jamie Soward. Why they are not made compulsory I'll never know. Pretty useless front on, but if they offer even minimum protection to the top of the head and the temples it's all good.

Because the evidence suggest they cause more harm. Something compressing blows to the head as I recall.

He used to wear one when he debuted, a blue Beaver Menzies style

Sheens made him stop wearing it.

They provide little to no protection for the impact they get in NRL

They're good for union, to stop your ears getting torn off in scrums and mauls.

But, I looked into it after getting a couple of concussions and found they are useless for it from the people i talked to at least.

They do not stop concussions, they help prevent cuts, if your head is in the wrong place you will suffer concussion whether u have a headgear or not. They just prevent cuts
