Galloway heaps praise on front row partner
Wests Tigers prop forward Keith Galloway has heaped praise on his younger front row partner, Aaron Woods, after a great season in 2012.
Woods won the Club’s Player of the Year Award after proving to be one of the NRL’s most consistent performers in 2012.
Galloway, who has been watching Woods develop his game for the past few years, said that he is a star in the making.
“I’ve known for a few years that Woodsy was going to crack the big time and be a good player but I definitely didn’t think he would have had the season he’s just had this early in his career,” he said.
“I enjoy playing with Woodsy. As a front row partnership, I thought we were pretty strong.
“I was thriving off his enthusiasm during the season. Seeing a young kid with that much hunger in his eyes was unreal and I think everyone else thrived off that too.”
Galloway also said it’s exciting to see so many good young forwards coming through the Premiership winning Under 20s team.
“There’s a lot of potential in those kids. It will be good to work and train with them and help in any way I can,” he added.
