Galloway out for a month

In bad news for the Tigers, frontrower Keith Galloway requires hand surgery and will miss at least a month of football.
>
It is shattering news for Galloway as it is the second consecutive year his State Of Origin hopes have been dashed by an untimely injury.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Not what we needed against the forward pack Souths have. Gibbs, Payten, Ellis and co have a huge job ahead of them now. Good luck with the recovery Big Red

Yet another injury prone player that will never live up to his potential. It would be nice if he could string a dozen or so games together for once, really becoming tired of his little spells. Is it just me or does anyone else think he is just a big skirt?

I would like to see some of the people bagging Galloway from their keyboards carry a ball into an opposing NRL first grade pack and see how long they last. Very easy to criticise from the sidelines.

GALLOWAY TO MISS TWO GAMES
12/05/2010 1:22:09 PM
Wests Tigers prop Keith Galloway has undergone surgery today on an injured hand.

Galloway suffered the injury in the round three win over Parramatta and has battled on bravely with the injury. Galloway last week represented City against Country in Port Macquarie.

He will miss the next two matches against South Sydney at the SCG and the Newcastle Knights at EnergyAustralia Stadium.

Galloway joins Jason Cayless, Taniela Tuiaki, Tame Tupou and Tim Moltzen on the club's injury list.

Well 2 weeks isn't two bad. Ellis had to sit time out last season from a hand injury. They are one of those things you can only play with for so long before they become too much of an issue

Hasnt keith missed games since our win over parra? If so, why didnt he get the operation while he was out if its just a 2 week outage???

Well 2 weeks is better than the reported month. Still we could use him against the bunnies. So how will we line up now?

8\. Gibbs
9\. Farah
11.Payten
15.Fulton

18.Moors

I'm wondering why he is only going in for the op tomorrow when our last game was a week and a half ago!?

Poor form from the doctors.

or are you just a big keyboard commando.keith is a luckless front rower with a big heart who is still growing.

I am willing to put $50 up to say he will not be back in two weeks - two weeks means four at our club.

But anyone bagging galloway for being "soft" is pathetic. He played on despite his foot needing to be in a cast during the week at the back end of 2008.

Galloway will definitely be missed for the next couple of weeks. He is one of the few Tigers forwards who can consistently bend the opposition defensive line.

Big red not soft, just injury prone. Some players can go for years escaping injuries others seem to cop them all the time.

i agree supercoach, the guy has played more games toughening it out with injury than not, but he obviously just wasn't breast feed as a baby because his bones are brittle as anything….but all coaches know ( or friggin should know) that props get injured all the time,(unless your a robot like ryan tandy) and should recruit accordingly, and have 8 up their sleeves, not 8 wingers up their sleeves
