Galloway out for a month

Massive hole to fill.
Anyone know our win loss ratio with galloway playing compared to being out injured. I bet the numbers tell a story.

We've lost so often, i think you could argue a case for almost any player lol

Galloway feeling Blue after Origin blow

For the second consecutive season, injury threatens to ruin Wests Tigers prop Keith Galloway's State of Origin dream.
>
The red-headed giant underwent hand surgery on Wednesday, definitely ruling him out of a possible NSW debut in game one in Sydney on May 26.
>
After being ruled out for a minimum of two weeks, he's also left with an uphill battle to regain fitness and prove himself in time for games two and three.
>
Last year, at virtually the same stage of the season, just when judges had started to talk up Galloway's Blues chances, he was sidelined for a lengthy period with a knee injury.
>
While he was perhaps more of an outside hope last season, he was certainly favoured to break into Craig Bellamy's side this series and the setback comes as a devastating blow to the City Origin front rower.
>
Galloway suffered the injury in Wests' round three win over Parramatta at the Sydney Football Stadium and has been battling on ever since.
>
Tigers coach Tim Sheens said the surgery couldn't be delayed any longer but believes Galloway remains a chance of still debuting in the Origin series.
>
"That's football, sometimes you're in the right place at the right time, other times you miss out," Sheens said.
>
"But I think if he comes back strongly there's still plenty of football to be played at that level, let alone for the rest of the season for us.
>
"He actually injured himself in this round last year against Souths at the cricket ground and that put a big hole in the middle of his season.
>
"We miss his go forward, there's no doubt, and his size but he's been struggling for over a month now with this hand and it's affected everything, particularly his defence.
>
"He's disappointed in that so we've had to bite the bullet and the surgeon said the ligaments need to be anchored back in his fingers and we've just had to put up with that at the moment."
>
Galloway joins Jason Cayless, Taniela Tuiaki, Tame Tupou and Tim Moltzen on the Tigers' injury list.

i would like to see some of the people bagging galloway from their keyboards carry a ball into an opposing nrl first grade pack and see how long they last. Very easy to criticise from the sidelines.

well said hbom… Very, very easy to criticise from the luxury of a leather chair!!!

Why do people trash players?? Criticise some points within ones game. Critisice a poor option during a game, but to critisice thier metal is just rubbish...

Make contributing points/opinions, but please dont trash players!!!

It makes me sick... 😢 :imp:

No problem, if you listened to 2sm earlier today, or read the posts, you'd have noticed master coach already has a replacement in mind… :unamused: :unamused:

I also agree that it is very poor form to bag a first grade nrl prop as being "soft".

These comment's can only have come from those who have never played the game.

Dont get me wrong, it s##ts me as well that he cant seem to string too many games together in a row but that is bad luck rather than anything else. If we had recruited better this wouldn't be such a damn nightmare.

Gotta feel for big red, poor bloke just does not have luck on his side at the moment, especially when it comes to playing against rabbitohs at the scg.
Get well soon keith.

Geeze, is it humanly possible for us to get through a few weeks without any major injuries?

Hope the surgery goes well for him and he gets a bit more luck when he comes back.

played for 8 years with and against the likes of gower and the puletua bros was a 5/8 in one of the smallest sides in the comp don't tell me i've never played the game, i also made a come back 2 years ago at the age of 28 after doing nothing physical for 10 years stepped into park footy in qld playing on grounds that hadn't seen rain for months and were no softer than the car park, in a comp where everyone just wants to bash you, played in games with 11 men and no reserves for half the game because of injury during the game. It's no nrl but i know how tough footy is at any level. But if i was as big as rednut the opposition would be spending time on the sideline not me.

Sheens should just put payten as the other starting prop and fulton starting in the second row. Moors onto the interchange.

Poor bloodnut, can't win a trick….reminds me of the joke.....

"i just saw that harry potter film. A bit unrealistic if you ask me. I mean, a ginger haired kid, with two friends?

Cmon, guys , we are wests tigers fans, if we didn't laugh at our plight, we be crying all the time

Ellis to play as a prop, straight from sheens' mouth on 2sm.

Another masterstroke from supercoach. Fmd

 Nice out of context quote from Sheens mouth …when it was Ellis who said he may develop into a Prop and I don't think it means Starting this week...........although.... 😕

Agree.

Fulton should be on the field for 80 minutes. Team for mine would be;

1.> Ryan
2.> Tuqiri
3.> Ayshford
4.> Lawrence
5.> Fitzhenry
6.> Marshall
7.> Lui

8.> Gibbs
9.> Farah
10.> Payten
11.> Ellis
12.> Fulton
13.> Heighington

14.> Fifita
15.> Flanagan
16.> Brown
17.> Moors

Fifita and Moors to rotate with the front row, Flanagan and Ellis to rotate.

Preferably would like to see Fitzy putting his feet up on the sideline, but we all know thats not going to happen.
