Galloway

Fairdinkum I wonder what goes on in his head sometimes. For all his first grade experience he gives away the most ridiculous penalties. After our young blokes play some great football to get us back into the game after half time, dopey Galloway decides to lift himself off the ground using Hunt's head for leverage - the result? A penalty taking the Broncos within 20 metres of our try line.

He was lucky that there was no resulting try in that particular set of six, but the trend of the game was changed completely, as Brisbane came alive again once they got a sniff of the try line. I'm pretty sure he gave away another stupid push and shove type penalty later on as well that took the Broncos way down our end again and this time tries were scored. Not the first time he has done this either, his silly actions have often been the turning point in a game - the guy should know better, imo.

He's off the pace nowadays in NRL, that's for sure. I hope he can set up his family's future with a couple of years in UK.

As for the penalty… Getting flogged every week certainly leads to frustration for an ageing player.

Some penalties are needed, but that was silly. He gets caught a few times morally standing his ground, but seems to get pinged for it more times than not.

But, he made the most meters today, so he went ok from the bench.

Whilst it was dumb on his part, I feel those sort of late-ish hits are let go 9 times out of 10\. I don't think it would have been called if Hunt hadn't have reacted.

That said, he's not got much left to offer at this level, let alone at his reported pay packet. Love the guy, but he's one we really need to shift before next season.

Ava and Sue are much better players then him now. Hopefully Lodge and Dallas Graham/Jordan Grant/Fiagusta can kick on next year. Galloway needs to be let go.

If you watch that closely, McCullough gave him an elbow to the nether regions. However, Galloway was dumb enough to react… then again if someone did that to me I'd probably do the same.

I am not going to bag keith as he has been a top player for about 9 of the 10 years he has been with us.same goes for pat as time has caught up with the both of them and should be tapped on the shoulder.pat is leaving to go the esl and so should keith.the trouble is we will have to pay some of his wage for next year and who do we replace him with when our club says we cant buy any replacements.we are a mess!!!!!

Depends on his price. He still isn't a bad option as a bench prop.

But I agree, he's not what we need as one of the more experienced guys that the kids would be looking up to.

If he is earning 4-500k next season he probably does need to go.

Even if we end up paying half his contract, with that extra couple of hundred k we could re-sign Ava. If we don't pay for his contract we could then also sign an experienced but average-solid first grader.

Although if we do let both Lawrence and Keithy go we'll only have 1 player over the age of 26 in our top squad!!! We're in desperate need of some experience to help our kids, but we're also letting all our experience go without the prospect of replacing them.

Where's the balance, what's the solution?
