Great having him back tonight. We really missed his defense last few weeks. He had a good first match back from injury. He is all class.

I knew he was good but didnt expect him to be that good after playing no trials and only the bulldogs match. I thought he may of been a bit undone. But he was great tonight.

I don't know how he lasted as long as he did on the field. Having only played half a game all year, he showed great match fitness in a tough game, to get through the work he did. He must train very hard! Great to have him back.

Did he pull up ok ?? At one stage he had slight limp about 10 minutes before he went off seemed to real away from a tackle He was real good tonight missed a few tackles but probably a lack of timing .

When he's in our forward pack the other forwards feed off his runs and tackles. Has won the wests Tigers players player 2 years in a row so the team really must look upto him

Played awesome last night..As soon as he was named my confidence in a win went up by about 50%.

Agree with that. Our forwards have a soft underbelly without him, when he`s playing they think they`re 10 foot tall & bullet proof!

I am sick of people pumping Burgess' tyres ,not saying he isnt a good player, but Gareth is clearly the best Englishman in the NRL and i am more than comfortable to say he is also the best back-rower in the NRL.

Better still he is a leader - not by his words, but by his actions. That is the mark of a class player. Sam Burgess could take a leaf out of Gareth's book.

Burgess plays in spurts,& goes missing for large chunks of the game.Spends too much time on the bench too.
Ellis plays at 110% for as long as u need him too.
Know which one Id rather have.
Only backrower who gets anywhere near Ellis for leadership & impact is Gallen
Shame Heihno wasnt a little bit bigger as he's another one who gives everything he's got

ellis is a champion, fantastic player, IMO the best back rower in the comp.

with Burgess, he is also awesome tho, i'd happily welcome him to tiger town cant see it happening anytime soon tho

Best in the world Goose in my opinion and along with Blair and Heighington would be the best combination in the world in 2012 if it all happens ???
