Whats peoples opinions on Gareth Widdop ??
Carves the Tigers up just about everytime we play Storm. He is off Contract next year.
Is a good 6 and prefers to play fullback…
Thurston is probably out of our price range, but I think we should start a rumour that the Tigers are interested in Signing Widdop!! Might snowball and take effect haha

Others decent players off contract that would be handy at the tigers

Widdop is a great half. Would love to see him in Tigers colors. Other cheaper options who I would also like to see in the 7 are Aidan Sezer from the Titans who is off contract now, and Sam Williams from the Raiders.

For the forwards I rate Boyd Cordner, Jake Marketo and Jack De Belin as good young prospects

Be interesting, Sheens gets punted,so their goes his support staff, ie Warren McD, So i would imagine all bets will be off with any so called deals that have been made or are being made.
 
Definitely take Widdop can play anywhere from 1-6 and is criminally underrated due to having 3 megastars around him. Would also take Townsend, Bukuya and Cordner of that list but there is 0 chance their respective clubs would let them go cheaply. Hodgkinson and Tolman are both worth a look, the Dogs may not be able to keep both of them.

Agree Every one carves the Tigers up

yes i think Mr Widdop would make an impact on our team and would be wonderful buy but we just signed Anasta which i think was the wrong choice :wtf when we have Sioronen is going to amazing and is the best player for the job so why did we need Anasta ? waste of money? Some serious questions need to be asked about what the hell the board is thinking? i know i would like :bash some sence into them.

Widdop is a good player, but he's one player the Storm will definitely fight hard to keep.
 
You will not get Corder away from the chooks, he is their future and they know it. Widdop is a very good footballer but he has the best spine in the history of the NRL around him, Iam sure most good footballers would shine with a spine like the Storm have. Not sure how he would go when taken out of that enviroment
 
Extremely confused by the signing of finch, I don't understand what purpose it serves? Widdop is still heaps young and he's definitely a guy they can build a team around once the big 3 have retired. Hinchcliffe has the bench utility spot locked in so I don't see where finch will play. In saying that, i'd be extremely happy if we signed widdop, can play anywhere from 1-7 (although haven't seen him play in the centres I assume he could)
