General Manager to be announced before Coach Decision

If tim sheens comes back that will push me over the edge. Wasnt he offered a role like this before declined it and decided a court case would be the best way forward. Need people pushing in the right direction. Sheens is not the man

I doubt it will be Sheens as you say this was the function that he rejected and kept on taking the money without doing anything.I hope it is someone without any connections to the foundation clubs that would be a disaster waiting to happen even if that person tried to be neutral in all respects

According to the Roy Masters report the Wests Tigers board, due to the new structure, would identify a coach who would be willing to report to the football boss, suggesting that the club's next new coach will be a rookie.
The report therefore appears to be insinuating that the next coach will be either Parish, Brown or Taylor.

I would hardly call Brown or Taylor rookies. The only rookie is god help us Parish.Yikes.

Or Kidwell and Payten

With Parish we may have a revolution - of a kind leading to a worse civil war than occurred in 2014.

Easy answer will be don't renew your membership

It would be good to see the Tigers with a coach that gives our side the best chance to be successful. Whether that be Griffin, Brown etc…...I don't really care as long as we start making the 8 and having some form of regular success.

In saying that I read a lot of negative stuff from people here about Parish.

I'm not that familiar with Parish......what are his big negatives with him ?????

His only head coach role lasted 6 games at Salford,5 losses and he was sacked, the players went on social media when Sheen's was sacked saying don't hire him WestsTigers, you will be sorry.
He has no people skills,he off sided Stuart to a spoon at Parra last year,he off sided Stuart at Canberra to last this year,it wasn't until he left later in the year the raiders shook off the spoon and won a few games.
He is mates with Allan Jones, and is dating Ray Hadley's wife,we don't need a coach with this much baggage and very little talent, please new board look elsewhere, anywhere for the good of the club.

Interesting read - sounds familiar…..

Wayne Pearce is on ALRC board and cannot take part in running of any club at any level.

Isnt that a bit like saying Folkes cant coach us because he's coaching the jillaroos.

No.
Its not.

No? So if Pearce wants the job and stands down from the ARLC he cant come to us?

@innsaneink said:
He can

But the two examples are not even close, thus its not "a bit like saying…."

I dont see your point. Pearce and Folkes both have jobs that they would need to stand down from to join us. Them having these postions cant stop them from joining us as was suggested.

One is a massive step down….
...the other a huge step up.
Im sure you dont need me to tell you who'd be stepping up and who down.

Fair enough. It depends on one's personal goals I guess. Pearce may not see it as a step down.
Besides, I was just pointing out that Pearce could take the job if he wanted, WTFL seemed to be saying it was impossible.

Pearce could step down for commissioner role but there would be a clause where he cannot serve at a club in any role for a period of time (conflict of interest)

Very unlikely he would do that and he has his own life coaching / team building business on the side.
