Gift tries

The Broncos got a lot of them tonight.

1st try - short side bomb. Moltzen does not jump to catch/put off Yow Yeh, who catches the ball and scores.

2nd try - Glenn strolls through 2 tacklers (one was Lui, missed the other) and slides over.

3rd try - Yow Yeh runs about 50 metres, seeminly beating our whole side. On the next play the ball Thaiday is appearingly wrapped up by two of three defenders, but manages to get free and stroll over.

4th try - Ryan's epic fail (thought this was Moltz at first… I was blowing up. Sorry Tim!)

5th try - Scrum, short side move (how can we not defend against something we do on ALL our scrums?) and Lockyer breezes through.

Most of them were very disappointing.

Tries 3 & 4 on that list murdered us. Thaiday's try was like watching Wests Tigers defence circa 2002/3\. ie: SOFT!

Brown and Woods I believe were the co-culprits with Lui in Glenns try. I don't think Glenn grounded that though. He seemed to want to keep going.

Your right. Those tries were soft.

Thats my whole problem with tonights loss…

The broncs had strong defense but their attack was fairly pedestrian yet they put 31 points past us and if it wasnt for some stoic goaline defense in the second half it would have been many more.

Lockyers Try was soft Alex Glenn try was soft Yow Yehs was very soft . We give away soft metres every set of six We as a team are soft .

glenn looked like he knew he was short and held the ball cause he was going to be playing it … the softie in pink had an opinion and was on the spot ..in saying that he was srill good enough to break our defence .....
we have no idea in slowing down the play the ball .... teams do it to us week in week out with fast play the balls which makes us weak in the miffle of the park....

There were quite a few runs by Thaiday and Hodges where three tiger defenders couldnt put them on the ground.

Our defense doesnt have enough mongrel.

Defence in the 2nd half was pretty good. Forwards and backs lead with the shoulder instead of jumper grabbing.

The first half, was Ayshford having a bad day? Thaiday, Yow Yeh and Hodges killed us down the LHS.

Blake was aweful in that first half. He would be very disappointed with his defense. He dropped the ball a few times as well.

A VERY INEPT PERFORMANCE BY A TEAM playing with no passion they were very flat to say the least. Looks like we continued the same way we ended from the Titans performance, Something isnt right….......wish I had more to say but I have nothing.........

The last try was really poor communication between a few people. The Broncos packed the scrum 10m out with 3 guys on the blind side and we had 1 (Utai). Obviosuly benji was going across to cover as well but they also had Wallace or whoever picked it up. Real poor communication, potentially from Utai or benji not to spot it. I

soft defence? you go defend better then ffs, broncos attack was just to good and outplayed us

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAre you serious? The broncos had 2 knock ons and a forward pass in our 20m zone in the opening 15 minutes. They cruised down to our end of the field. If anything, its a wonder how they scored 1 try in the 2nd half. You cannot serious play the "they tried their hardest" card. They really didn't tonight. The Thaiday try, I don't even know how I feel about that. I remember one instance where they kicked high in the air and we caught it.

We were terrible.

We scored more points than any other team against the Broncos this season. We lost because our defence was woeful at times and we gave them five soft tries. Not one of those tries came on the back of any particularly good attacking play by the Broncos. Also, The Broncos have only played teams in the bottom half of the table so far.
