11 years of service, love him or hate him. We offered him contracts and he played, often to bare the brunt of our displeasure. Local junior who stood by us, when the captain and the other 2 dogs abandoned us (Nofa stayed loyal, not to forget). For nothing else, so the players coming can see that we have a bit of class, a gold watch perhaps, a jersey with 7/11. Something mounted or a plaque. But really a BBQ, give me a break. Thanks Luke

How many West's Tigers have played for us for a decade. Many were like rats on a sinking ship, including the dog Tedesco. When it was popular to reject our contracts or leave us. He did not.

We have also done nothing with him here, club can't be expected to kiss his feet. Club never once dropped him, he was paid very well, we celebrated all his milestones.

Novelty gift engraved with his name for a player who is now playing for another club. Don't think anymore was expected.

Cannot believe all the slack the club is getting for this..

Few things on this..

1. It's not a milestone game where they give a framed jersey / balls etc..
2. He even said himself he loves cooking, BBQ's
3. How do you even know if it wasn't his teammates that had the idea ????
4. I congratulate the club on thinking outside the square.

If this was done at a bigger club, there would be no media about it but because it's us there is noise.

People need to settle down as it's a gift for a guy leaving to join a competitor not retiring.

It's like when you are in Golf social clubs and the prizes are Umbrellas, Putters, balls, etc.. But as a player you have them already and it's a gift you never use or give away..

Sorry that my 2cents worth as sick of the club getting bashed for nothing. (They deserve it most times)

Kiss his feet, Tim Mannah on Fox was laughing at us. We look at our 10 years of crap and blame 1 player. It would have been easier for him to leave than it was for us to resign him. Look what we had to sign over the past 3 days. We payed Jayden Sullivan 2.2 million over 4 years, are you serious, he hasn't played a full season. Halfbacks are hard to find, let alone attracting them to our club. M Pearce at 40 rejected us. And you reckon Brooks owes us.

It's purely because we offered him more many than everyone else every time he stayed until now when Manly did. Don't kid yourself that he stayed than anything other than cash. He's cruised by on bare minimum effort his entire career, never done the extras to improve etc.
