Wests Legend…..Ray Cashmere! No offence to big Cashy but I nearly fell off my chair laughing when I read that!
Would be an absolute fantastic night. Kelly and Dimond would be the ones to have at your table, they would have some awesome yarns to tell.

Yeah reckon we ran out of legends What about Jumper Leeds ,Paul Langmack ,Warren Boland ,John Ribot de Bresac, Les Boyd,Cameron Blair,Rod Pethybridge,

Yep right again about Dimond or Kelly , but always liked Joe Cool

I can't really recall watching Dorahy play, but I have heard many reports about him being a top bluer when a stink was happening!
I heard Warren Boland commentating on one of the old replay games on Fox last week, IMO he was just about the best commentator I have ever heard, very knowledgable and to the point without all the over-the-top BS that Rabs, Gus, Warren Smith and especially Andy Raymond carry on with. Wonder if he is still commentating anywhere these days?

I rememeber Joe Cool…..he really was my all time fave, smooth as silk running, beautiful step terrific kicking game, safe in D....he got that nickname for a reason and blueing wasnt his it, dont recall him in any scraps really, he'd be more likely to be sitting on the ball chewing a piece of grass watching the others go for it

Wazza Bozza was like a uni graduate working on a garbo truck, he seemed an odd one out at the magpies but he was one of the lads, fit in well, just seemed an odd fit, liked his shoulder pads

Boland is still on Granndstand ABC in Qld Ink does sports reports and the like Don't know if the Qld ABC commentary team will include him though

He was doing commentary on the Qld Cup games on ABC TV every Saturday until 2011 then Vossy and Channel 9 took over in 2012

Ray might not have played many games with the Magpies but he goes down in the history books as the last person to be awarded a Western Suburbs Magpies first grade jersey.

The last player for the pies to represent the WT's more than a decade after the Pies bowed out

You're getting him mixed up with John Donnelly.
'Joe Cool' Dorahy was , in my opinion , one of the best fullbacks you'd ever want to see.
Sheer magic in attack and , as his nickname attests , the VERY coolest guy under any pressure .
As a Balmain supporter at the time he was running around he was one of my favourite players to watch from any other team.
A champion.

Will Tony THE TANK Ford and Shane SUNNY Day be there??? I use to love watching them play!!!

Nah, I definately wasn't getting him mixed up with Donnelly. I'm not sure who I was getting him mixed up with though
Can picture the face but just can't remember watching him play.
That dinner would be a pearler of a night…any of ya's going to it?

I've bought a ticket for the old man and me and can't wait for this night it will be a cracker. Does anyone know if a feed or drinks are included in the price because it doesn't state anywhere on the info?
