Good start

Imo we really need to start this game well…...if we can put on a couple of tries first it will go some way to helping us get the money.

A Monday niter in Townsville is rare I believe....I dont think the crowd will be very big, (the last Mon niter there last year got 9500)..if we can take the crowd out of the equation early by posting first points it would be a boost.

Im not sure when the squad leave/left for FNQ...its an odd one Mon in NQ, if we return on the tues that means our prep for Souths begins on Wed which leaves 4 days until the Sunday game....crap scheduling.

Yes good starts are important, but how many have we started well and blown. With 20 to go and a 10 point lead we should try low risk football, not what we dish up every week. The way we play if time and score was not visible on the tv screen, and you just started viewing, you'd think we're playing catch up football, wether we're up or down by 10.

We are specials. Stronger side posted by our boys this time, stupid cowboys players picking fights through the media, taking on pretty much the same team we beat at Campbelltown. It's game on.

I agree with Ink. Don't want to let the Cowboys get out to a handy lead at home, they'll be too hard to peg back.

I agree with Tiger - starting well doesn't mean much to us- the other team catches
up & some even overtake us but like Ink says it does silence the crowd- but we really need to finish well. It's a bigger problem for us than starting well.

Memo to Benji, don't try and shoulder charge Tamou, remember you getting injured trying to tackle another Polynesian Cowboy in Paul Rauhihi a few years back.

Tamou carved us last time out so we need to shut him down. Cowgirls use a lot of wide angle run plays and second man decoy plays so we need to stop Thurston drifting acrss field looking for runners. Tait has a bad attitude and is easily rattled so he should be good for a few penalties if we can muscle up on him a bit. We definately do need a good start but more than that we need to remain focused and stick to our game plan for the full 80.

Cows are slow starters. Haven't scored first try since Rnd 15 against the Broncs (and then it took them 61mins to score first). Tiges have scored first try in past seven games.

We'll start better - no doubt. The trick is finishing well.

I don't believe getting the lead first will be the deciding factor, how many times have we come back after HT? It's really about us finishing well and keeping the cowboys at bay the whole game. (No more than 13 ahead of us)
