Gould and Sterling

Can't wait till Nine are shown the door… They have little to no interest for the well being of the game, and continue to treat the fans like idiots.

Another great example is tonights game against the Poms being shown at 6:30 in Queensland instead of Live :brick:

The Monday night Triple M team is the best.

Channel nine format is crap. Pretend arguments etc, Gould always focusing on the refs..

Makes it hard for old heads and must be killing newbies.

Isn't Gould on MMM? I don't rate their commentary to be honest.

He used to be but hasn't been on this year. Not sure if thats related to that night when Gould got into a heated argument with David Gallop about the game on air.

I liked Gould when he was on Triple M, he came across as more relaxed then what he is on ch 9.

I havnt listened to it this year but I'm pretty certain it has been Johns, Sterling and Dan Ginnane.

Can't wait until Nine is given the rear end. Just hoping if Ten or Seven snare the rights they don't bring Gould and co over…

Agree

Like reading gould at times and his analysis However it comes with a lot of vitriol.

Relax a bit mate - apart from you looks you got a pretty good life

With the exception of Ray Warren of course. I cant imagine Rugby League without him

Gould makes a living from the game and therefore should treat it with respect. Towards the end of tonight's game he said "bring on the cricket" ok some may agree with what Gould was insinuating in terms of the quality of the game, however he was involved in commentary of an international match between long term rivals, I think he owes the game far more than to make those sorts of comments, talking the game down. The cricket reference was just one of a few such comments. If he is bored or unimpressed with the game then perhaps he would enjoy getting involved in something else. International Rugby League needs all the support it can get, the last thing it needs is negative comments from commentators listened to by many, some of whom may be new to the game.

Watching the cricket today, I realised what good commentators are. I absolutely love Mark Taylor, Heals, Moody and ofcourse Greig!!!

Agree mate.

I thought the comment was well out of place in light of the fact that this game may be being broadcasted into other "Non NRL" markets

I'm so tired of these self opinionated hamsters. They're starting to make Greg Alexander look humble and balanced. Every time there is a decision pending with the video ref, one, the other or both confidently assert what the correct decision is, usually accompanied by a comment like 'This will be a try', 'There can't be any other decision', 'I'll walk to Bourke….' etc.

The language is beyond arrogant, with the clear inference that the video ref will look a donkey if not in accord with their 'decision'. Who asked them to be personally insulted if an official's decision differs from theirs?

commentators are there to give an opinion…. do u want them to all sit on the fence?

as much as aussie rules is the enemy gotta say that tim lane and denis cometti are the best sporting commentators by a country mile. a cometti classic during a game when an opposing player lept above andrew mcleod' ( crows )shoulders then this one came out quick as a flash .." hey you get offa my cloud " … a pearler !!

bottom of the pile of commentators has to be the most annoying of all ... the gratingly irritating bruce macavaney ... ugh !!

bloody hell. anyone watch the png v eng match on channel? gus kept going "hummmmm" lol
