i heard a couple dayz ago that Penrith were trying to lure him as a coaching director…that makes a lot more sense then hearing he's the actual head coach...can't c Gus taking up any position that would jerpodize his cushy commentary job

He's not head coach from what I've heard…maybe not even coaching director, just involved at some level.

Was that Danny Weedler who said he was the head? That bloke never gets the facts 100% Brandy Alexander, who is a board member said this isnt true but they were hoping to get him involved in some capacity.

A coaching director is where the head coach reports to the coaching director, they discuss coaching methods and generally how things are coming along.
Its almost like mentoring and assessing the head coach. Gould was coaching director when Ricky Stuart was coaching the Roosters.

Back on topic, I can't imagine Gould being involved in a role where it required a great deal of work. He won't come back and coach three games during SOO, I don't know why he'd commit to a long term deal at a club.
