Was purely by chance that I turned over to 9 but was happy to hear comments made of Brooks. By not only Gould but Johns as well. Saying that someone has to sit this guy down and ask him where is his game at and that his game over the last couple of years has plateaued.
This was my main worry when we offered Brooks a new deal. It probably should be halved by his inept plays last night. Wonder if there's a get out clause in his contract? I certainly hope so!!!

Im not sure Lyke quite gets what it takes to be an NRL half. Someone needs to explain to him the hours Cronk puts into his own game in his own time outside of the teams scheduled training sessions. Im not sure Luke is willing to spend an hour every single day working on his kicking game in his own time and thats the problem. Professionalism and commitment.

I did mention this a couple of weeks ago ..we thought that paying players to play for other clubs was at an end well my prediction is that Brooks will be the next .Brooks has not made the grade and will not! Any one thinking a good forward pack will be the making of Brooks is DREAMING!

Most of our key signings have been for 3 or more years.

The fact that Brooks signed so quickly after his original offer was reduced by $250K shows that he and his manager didn't think he would get a gig elsewhere either.

Apparently he had a lot more to say about WT than just Luke - can anyone give a summary of what he said about Brooks and the club as well.

I missed what he said about Brookes. Johns asked Gould what Tigers needed to do to be a premiership team. Gould said he didn't know if they could ever be a premiership team.

He also went on for a long time about the club neglecting the development of their juniors. He said the future of Tigers was out west not Balmain and that the club has been doing nothing to source the local talent, which there was plenty of. He was exactly right in everything I heard him say. So whatever he said about Brookes is probably pretty close to being on the mark. I doubt he suggested getting rid of him though.

He's seems to have a soft spot for the Tigers and was going to Coach us at one stage after the merger.Most of his comments and criticisms have been positive over the years for the most part,just telling it as he sees it.
I think Brooks will improve next year with Reynolds taking the pressure off,if he doesn't he just another promising kid that didn't make the grade,RL History is littered with them.
