Gould, Johns and Fittler are Outright terrible. Not just last night but all year. Do nine care, no way they have you basically locked in, and it’s the old story bad publicity is better than no publicity.

How Gus could come out and say Penrith were the better side in the first half is madness. Anyway if you think they we’re bad last night, wait for the SOO that’s when they will take it to a lower level..minus Fitler

sorta agree with penrith seeming to be better in the first half....they appeared to be doing a heap of up tempo high energy stuff, while actually not delivering anything of substance.

Melbourne defended well (like always), and the few opportunities they had they made penrith pay. Penalty try, couple of penalties then an intercept and it was game over. It came down to professionalism and keeping cool and calm IMO.

Can’t agree at all

But that’s all invalid unless you actually post points on the board. Melbournes defense was the stand out to me in the 1st half

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a game where the team losing 22-0 at half time is the better team, and yesterday was no different. I thought storms slackened off a fair bit with 20 mins to go which made the game seem close imo

Agree
It’s as if in the last 20 mins the Storm got bored if that makes sense ?
But they knew they could hold out the Pamfers .
As for Pamfers being the better side early that’s laughable..
Gould should be in a nursing home .

Penrith struggle to score inside the 20. They’ve won games off good kicking and high possession counts whenever possession evens up they struggled. Melbourne new this and countered it excellent as expected really made sure Luai and Cleary were quiet and Penrith made a lot of errors too. Inexperience and nerves got the better of them

Well penrith actually had a bulk of possession early they just couldn’t convert. I wouldn’t say Cleary was quiet...still tried hard, just had a Ben Hunt finals pressure type game where he folded like today’s laundry. He’ll be better for it

I was mystified by Nadens benching - when he finally came on penrith looked lethal down that edge. If he’s on the outer I wouldn’t mind him at the tigers, even if he has the most punchable head in the nrl

Melbourne defended very well Penrith struggle inside the 20 sometimes to score points. Clearly rocked up towards the end but Melbourne shut him down for a lot of the game for the most part

The play where Paps jumped from the field of play and knocked the ball back in, he deserved it on that play alone.

What a player

Lol @ the salt from panthers fans on social media about refs. Not sure you have a leg to stand on being down 26-0 at one stage?

I said to my mates at that time he'd just earned himself the ccm

His bomb which Edwards dropped and the restart he achieved demonstrated a very good tactical understanding. He has far more in his game than being lightning quick.

glad someone pointed that out!

all the focus went on Munster/Smith with Hughes in the bin and those two clutch plays really saved Melbourne.

I think Gould should be fined 10k for bringing the game into disrepute and banned from television and radio for the rest of his life.

You blew it BIG TIME Bee Sting Head.

Gould's commentary was unbelievably biased.

I assume it was because he invested so much time at the Panthers assembling that team that he believed that a grand final win would be a vindication of his tenure. His crowning glory so to speak.

It was painful to listen to.

Dont think Storm slackened off last 20 minutes, just appeared that the game was getting managed into the Panthers favour, Firstly Panther first try was a bunker howler, Panthers then seem to get alot green decisions go for them, the two players sinbinned, though deserving of a penalty, not sure they should of been sin binned, especially when Panther players had done the same, and no sin bins.

So with the gushing of Gus, the coaching of Ivan and the rub of the green from Sutton towards the end, Penrith still couldn't put the Storm away.
What they should have done is gotten some advice from Daniel Andrews, the one person who knows how to shut Melbourne down.

He thought this was his day to receive all the accolades.

Most disgusting biased commentary i have ever seen.
