Teams who have won grand finals always have a great fullback, dominate and creative half back and a creative hooker.

Great Canberra Team - Belcher/Mullins Stuart Waters

Great Brisbane Team - Lockyer Langer Waters

Great Melbourne Team - Slater Cooper Smith

Great Parramatta Team Taylor Sterling Edge

Great Newcastle Team O'Davis Johns Bedsy

WT 2005 Hodgson Prince Farah

We now have a solid fullback in McKinnon and a great Hooker in Farah but half back no one which means we will struggle in the big games.

Time to try Nicholas or Waters who play half back. Lui appears to be injury prone. We need to get a combination going now with our 1, 7 and 9 in the run up to the finals.

Way too early to write off Lui. Prince was considered to be injury prone when we acquired him.

lui injury prone? this is his first one lol?

Not quite…..It's actually about the 8th time he's been injured/missed games since he's been with the Wests Tigers.....3 times in First Grade....

Grand final teams at the very least actually have a halfback.

look at the broncos 2006 there halfback was shane perry!

Fair call but he had Darren Lockyer at 5/8, Hunt at Fullback. Both are capable of taking over the play maker duties.

Brisbane never fielded that combination in any of thier 6 Premierships. You couldnt say WT combination was a champion combination either, back in 2005.

Out of those Teams mentioned, only Canberra, Newcastle & Melbourne had this formula which you can say was the key to their Premiership success.

I always laugh at similarities to these combinations. They are an Urban Legend/Myth. Also, out of those combinations, I think you will also find there is only 2 Clive Churchill Winners…

We will go ok if we have the same 7 on the paddock leading into the finals and through-out...

What about 06? that wasn't a world class half by any means.
