Grand Final tickets - who is getting them?

Tickets go on sale tomorrow morning at 9am for members.

Who is buying some?

I am going to invest in a pair of category A tickets.

I am looking forward to the Tigers toppling the Dragqueens in an epic match.

This is just stupid… Why would you want to buy tickets to a game of Football that you don't know who is playing?

They must have some of the biggest peanuts working at the NRL...

Does this mean I won't get an option to buy GF Tickets through my club membership on GF Week?

Ths is the way it works when it comes to big sporting events.

Put it this way, you are purchasing tickets to the spectacle that is the NRL Grand Final - it is a great day regardless of who is playing.

I can understand State of Origin, Test Matches etc, but you have an idea who is playing.

So fans from Queensland will have to buy their Tickets tomorrow, book Accomodation, Airfares and Car to go and watch a game between Souths and Parramatta that they have no interest in, which will cost them Over $1000???

STUPID!!!

Is this the only option members get? Tomorrow…

They hold back a certain amount for members and release them Grand Final week I think.

Watto I'm 6 1/2 hours from ANZ and have used this early option for the last 6 years. I know your feeling about the cost because I have same costs involved. However I enjoy the day that is Grand Final day.Sides competing haven't concerned me last few years. It is a good day out.

If Tigers can make another Grand Final one year its a bonus and I know my seats are good.

No watto…calm down....In the past theyve kept 7000 tickets for the week before the GF, just wait til then - you'll know beforehand if we make it and you can arrange a bed

Cheers, Ink lol… I only wanted them for the kids and missus if we made it.

I already have tickets confirmed anyway through Fosters...

Hi everyone

I'll be at the Ticketek offices very early as usual. Wouldn't miss a Grand Final for anything!!

Tigergran

PS I hope the temperature is a little in the plus and not minus - it gets a bit cold here in the mornings!!

Ive been to a few GFs where my team hasnt been playing (sorta stupid statement i guess when my teams only made one in 40 years of following them) anyways….it feels like being at a party youre not supposed to be at
Each to their own.

I've been to quite a few GF's as well…including all three of the tigers since I've been alive!

When I go to a GF where my side isnt playing I usually find by kickoff I've had enough cans to pick a side and barrack for them. It's a fantastic day, and you really get caught up in the emotion a bit.

I might get a ticket. If Wests Tigers or Wests Magpies or the Under 20's Wests Tigers team doesn't make it to the grandfinal then I am sure I will be able to find someone to sell the ticket to if I decide I don't want to go.

A lot of the major sporting events are all organised in a similar manner i.e AFL, Australian Open, Sydney International Tennis, Hopman Cup, NRL, Swimming championships and the list goes on and on…

It's kinda crappy when you don't know if your team is playing but at the same time even if they're not in the grand final, it's still lots of fun going with your mates.

This whole getting first option for GF tickets for members is a scam.
They sell the worst tickets in each category first and keep the good ones till later. I tried buying A reserve and the only tickets available were right at the back on the 4th or 5th level to the side. I tried first thing this morning. The same thing happened last year.

Later on i've been able to get better tickets
I suspect it's a strategy to sell all the tickets.

Theres also now a buy-back scheme been in place the last cpl years, where you can sell early bought tickets back to the NRL for face value

That's actually not true. I used to work for Ticktek. Members are given first dibs and the whole stadium is made available to members.

Yes you may have logged on at 9am but so have members from 17 other clubs booking online, agencies and phone.
