Brisbane Broncos Ltd are financially strong, no wobbles there Yoss. If you are referring to the leagues club (seperate identity) it's more an operation issue. It's location isn't as attractive and there struggling to compete with other large clubs within the region which have become bigger/more modern. They will be fine once they control there spending. They still have a huge members base from within the local precinct and that's where there future lies.
On Grant, I feel his position on financial responsibility has been intertwined with the DT's other article about the financial balances of the clubs. That was a rubbish article splitting hairs, more than likely written with a view to extract more funding from the NRL.
Grant wants a strong and financial ARLC that's has a huge war chest to protect itself and brand (NRL) from future raids by external organisations. While the clubs don't want a stong ARLC, as it's reduces their control/manipulation over the administrating body to guarantee their existence.
The clubs are naughty & smug!
