Jake Granville has iced the last game the last two weeks now against decent opposition. I had him just ahead of Austin as buy of the year before the season started so im not surprised but great to see someone of his age step up to their potential like that.

Potentially the most damaging hooker the Cowboys have had since the enigmatic John Doyle. If he can lock in that hooker spot he will go a long way to helping the Cowboys to a Premiership.

Who's your buy of the year?

Early days yet , but potentially another one of the Cowboys signings could be the buy of the year

Lachlan Coote missed all of last season , but is looking the goods this season

Last time i checked it was 2015.

Granville has always been good, just never had opportunity for whatever reason. Cowboys are excellent recruiters, they snag young overlooked talent with potential and cheap like Morgan, Coote and Granville who are all great, young players.

Jake has been a handy dummy half and won 2 Q-Cup Titles under Paul Green. It isnt rocket science that Thurston has started carving up the comp since Jake has started.

He is going well, but his real test starts now, as after winning 2 games on the trot for the Cowboys, every NRL Coach will start setting a game plan against him.

Good on him!

Agree,Granville has been very good…If you seen the Dogs -Manly game the other night, there was a young guy called Hodges,he was playing a dummy half role,he will be a sensation in a couple of years...

Cowboys now look like a complete team. That made a lot of mistakes against the Warriors but were good enough to still win.

Its a bit early to call buy of the year…..but he would be a leading contender atm. Its a long season but

Personal? I don't even know you lol

What's petty is quoting your own post and highlighting someone not agreeing with something you said.

Lol, yeah he played OK this weekend.
Buy of the year is a bit of a stretch though.

Kev Naiqama or Blake Austin for mine.

Thanks Demps, thats the type of opinion i was asking for.

Also love that you didnt have to try and find another Cowboy player who doesnt even qualify for this years buy of the year you just openly disagreed.

Youre a master at this twisting and turning of words and forum play . I genuinely wont get into an argument with you because you enjoy it too much but sorry this time its a fail.

Youve disagreed that it is 2015 lmfao.

Well, I said who I thought was buy of the year… across the NRL.
Didn't know this was a "Who is the best cowboy's new recruit" thread as I probably wouldn't of even posted because I really don't care about NQ.

You're still upset?

Does this rep system really mean so much to you? You say it was petty, yet i seem to recall you thumbing me down for something i said about the Dog crowd in Auckland, which was factual, but i didn't get upset about it.

As far as being personal with you, i have no issue with you, and never have. On the other hand you've made it quite clear you don't like me a number of times, so are you sure that thumbs down last week from you wasn't personal?

@Tiger In The Gong:
To be clear, i disagreed with your condescending nature to one of the nicest posters on the entire forum.

I was being genuine mate. I appreciated what you said. You kept to the topic.

I dont care about the rep system and i have given you thumbs up on a couple of occasions. Just proves my point about you enjoying this and being good at the twisting and turning by simply ignoring that fact and offering something that suits your argument.

Go ahead and have a free shot now because as i said earlier i wont be getting into an argument with you.

I have no interest in taking a free shot. As i said, i have no issue with you.
