Great effort

I thought our forwards matched them pretty well. Would have liked Joel Luani to run the ball a bit more,(dummy half area a bit unorganised throughout the game) and Marty Taupau seemed like he didn't get a lot of game time - maybe that strapped knee was the reason. I don't know if I am missing something with Buchannan, I just feel like he doesnt make a lot of impact; not putting any onus on him about the loss as he had little game time. Lack of speed was a real problem when they broke away, but what great individual efforts by Rowe and Brooks to save two certain tries. Commitment was there - Woods, Blair, and Lawrence all solid, - was always going to be a tough assignment when you take on a Roosters side who were pretty much at full strength. Some great hits Akoula on Guerra ( I think) first half was a ripper. We definitely need some troops back.

I agree. I'm really pleased with the effort. Tigers never stopped trying. I thought we missed developed combinations and experienced leadership. I can't fault the Tigers on what I saw last night. Several players will walk away from that with valuable experience.

If a 24 point loss can ever be considered so.

What I saw out there was absolutely nothing like a Wests Tigers side of the past. The Roosters tries all came in single instances. There was no lack of effort. Lack of execution aplenty but we were not intimidated and honestly statistically it was the class players they had that won them the game with brilliance and the inexperienced players we have that lost us the game with brain snaps. Take out the moments that led to their tries and it was a very even contest.

Rowe, Brooks and Woods all stood up well. Lack of creativity and x-factor (ie Robbie Farah) was the difference. He should have played.

Completely agree with your comments. It was a brave effort, with just the one mistake in a set a couple of times capitalized upon by a classy team with brilliant individuals. The scoreline in no way reflects the difference in the two teams last night; it was a much closer game than a 24 point gap.

x2

Woods (108m, 30 tk, 0 mt  ) was again our best forward, with Galloway (87m, 23 tk, 2 mt) and Blair (105m, 34 tk, 3 mt) not far behind.
We missed Gavet in our props rotation, Buchanan at the moment does not contribute in attack as much as much as Taupau or Gavet.
Akoula did not have his best day, but he is quality player and he should be there.
Solid games by Rowe and Lawrence.
Brooks must play more direct, and Austin should get more involved, IMHO he offers more than Anasta.
For mine Lulia should not be there - offers nothing in attack and his defense was weak - Koroibete in and Nofoaluma to center.

Go Tigers :sign:

our attack lost us the game last night, we were not able to put any pressure on them . Brooks had a really strong game but for mine he ran across field to much turning players back in to get smashed , he is a lot better playing straight. Defence was ok except we let them get to many off loads, and our mistakes gave them to many opportunities.

Lulia is far too slow , can't move laterally and will always get caught out by a nimble quick centre

In my opinion our worst signing

Thank God Simona is back next week

Centre is one position we lack any depth in and something that will need to be fixed in 2015

Unless they stick with Moltzen and try and turn him into a centre , but that is a scary thought as well

Moltzen has always gone okay at centre. Seve is also the best centre in Australia in his age group.

Lulia has to be the worst player to have played in the NRL this year.

Agree with most of the punters.

Scoreline not indicative of the play. We gifted them at least 3 tries, and if one of their tries was not from a forward pass then I am a dutchman.

When we are at full strength, the Roosters will never beat us.

Thought Lawrence had a great game in attack and defence. Loved Blairs niggle too.

Akoula is not ready for mine.

Akauola is definitely an NRL player. He's just not ready to play 70 minutes starting. He is all impact. He gradually faded and eventually just started backing into the defense Adam Blair circa 2012 style.

Akoula has been poor the last few games, fear that the NRL grind as got him.
Would like to see him go back to NSW cup and maybe bring him back later in the season
