Great to see Ricky coaches his players to stay down

Croker lost the ball, no try. The stupid procedure where the ref sends it to the video by saying "I have a try" is the reason it was awarded-Croker had no control of the ball.
The couple of high tackles Penrith got pinged with were harmless. Rapana stayed down like a wuss because he knew he would get rewarded for it, same as Seizer. The Seizer one bounced up off the ball, certainly wasn't worthy of a gift 2 points to seal the match.
Canberra were probably the better team, they both played pretty average. Hopefully Canberra save their great performance for the prelim and then get belted in the GF.
Ricky on more than a few occasions after a loss has moaned about opposition players staying down for a penalty- funny he never mentioned it last night. It is a disgraceful situation when someone can genuinely be annihilated in a dodgy tackle and because he doesn't stay down like a cat doesn't so much as get a penalty.

Yeah he grounded it on the leg and his hand rolled over the top of it - he had lost control of it and it definitely wasn't a try in my book. It's also just common sense that if you go to ground the ball and you hit someone's leg you'll likely lose control of it. It deserved at the very least a look from side on to confirm but they never checked…

I thought his hand slid off it too as the ball rolled from the leg to the ground…very lucky

Canberra need to stop going to sleep for their usual 15 minutes per game....cant keep doing that in semis. Melbourne will chew that stuff up

Head high is head high. Every penalty was deserved.
Croker never took his hand off the ball. It rolled down the leg but his hand never left it. Fair try.

Head high is head high…...sure it is, ask Tedesco.

Some of you are as blind as bats. Hand is touching ball, ball is touching grass. He lost control after grounding it. I have seen a lot worse awarded tries when there was no downward pressure at all.

Was he playing in last night's game? Must have missed him.

Still nursing his busted jaw from a head high that was apparently not a head high as James didn't get penalised for that high shot. Pretty simple really.

Are you going by that still picture? That shows nothing in fact it makes it look even more like no control of the ball IMO.
Seen worse this season plenty of times but that still doesn't make it right.

I'll take blind as a bat over dumb as a stick :unamused:

Raiders have a lot of improvement required to beat the Storm.
Both finals games the Canberra boys were on top but failed to capitalise on the scoreboard. They should have had at least 20 on the board by halftime in both games. Maybe they'll settle down away from home and not push passes that are low percentage.

If they play like they did against the Tiges then Melbourne are in for a war. If they continue their finals form then Melbourne will easily take them down.

Look I still don't think it was a fair try BUT really liked how they didn't waste time looking at replay after replay…It all comes back to consistency tho and the NRL aren't good at that!!

I got sick of watching the Raiders players going down every chance they got, playing for the penalty. Sure, the Storm can be dirty, but most of the times they went down, there was nothing untowards.

Then you had them stop play when one of the Raiders players was supposedly injured, just after Wighton got sent off. He wasn't injured, he was just tired. Why were they allowed to get away with this? In the end, I was glad the Storm beat them!

Found it strange that Elliot Whitehead got collected by what looked to be a high shot and had to come from the field yet there was no penalty given or replay of the incident in the TV coverage. What did the refs think he was going off with an earache or something?, the refs only ever see what they wanna see.
Hope Melbourne get absolutely reamed by the officials in the GF and it costs them the game.

There were a few high shots from Melbourne that shouldve been pinged that werent…Austin was one, Whitehead.
As for slowing things down when youre a man down, well...all teams do this
