Greg Alexander worst commentator ever?

Could not stand the commentating of the Tigers v Panthers game last night mostly because of the bias crap that comes out of Greg Alexander's mouth. This might be the frustration of the game at the time but the stuff he was saying was bias or just wrong.
 
He is the polar opposite of Brad Fittler.

Fittler was intelligent but killed his brain with abuse of alcohol.

Alexander was always an idiot who is lucky to be able to construct sentences
 
And yet even he called a knock-on against the Panthers that Warren Smith (?) failed to see. Fox have a large stable of totally crap "colour" commentators who range from stupid but entertaining to stupid and annoying.

I'd take Brandy over Laurie Daley anyday.

Yes but he also called a blatant strip that led to a try as fair - was interesting to see an identical situation in the cronulla v newcastle match given a penalty - consistency :laughing:
 
Ive always liked Barandy but im slowly changing my mind. Couldnt believe he gave all the dally m points to Penrith players. Now thats what i called biased. Heighno should have at least got one point if not the two points.
 
I was getting abusive at this commentary, particuarly the strip call but just thought it was bias towards his team… but i listened to him at the storm-warriors game and he was coming out with the same BS there. Tosser.
 
Do not like Alexander or Dailey at all! Found it very frustrating when watching the replay of the match. There were so many different things that the two of them said that were just stupid.. Although there may be far too many adds on channel 9 at least you get some decent cmmentators.
 
am just waiting for the time when wests-tigers play penrith in an elimination finals match and wests-tigers have the match well and truly won with 7 min to go.
a decent lead of 19 or more.

Fox have the gibberers lined up, for sure. Junior Pearce is my all-time favourite player but he is a mediocre commentator. Fittler and Joey Johns are true legends of the game and know their football, but cannot express themselves on telly.

Basically there are two guys who know their stuff and are eloquent enough to put it across - Gus Gould and Sterling. There are also 3 very good callers who don't do much analysis - Rabs, Vossy and Warren Smith.

Everyone else is just making up the numbers and having fun.

I never used to like Mark Braybrook but I think he is a good commentator, same with Warren Smith. Vossy is my favourite though.

I like Garry Belcher as well.

I noticed last night when Preston scored, all Laurie Daley did was say what happened, didnt analyse what happened to the markers or anything.

Andy Raymond should just stay away from the microphone with his "What a try, what a tackle, what a pass, what a player, what a game, etc"

Daley, Alexander, Tallis, Pearce, Johns, and especially Fittler are gibberer's. It really annoys me because there are probably some really good analysts out there, but dont get a look in because they haven't played the game.

How Fittler got a job at 9 is ridiculous, I think he landed it because ch 9 boss Gyngell is a Roosters board director and of course with Gus at 9 and Joey being good mates with him as well, he wouldve been a shoe in for a job there.
 
Yeah Brandy is terrible. During the Storm Warriors game the Warriors conceded a penalty for stripping, and rather than look at the replay and see if it was a penalty he commented that they were complaining about unfair treatment and that could not be the case because the penalty count was 2-2\. What a moron.
 
Voss is fair judge, Gould is very msart but to full of himself (Looks like a cain toad)

I now look fwd to the MMM call of Monday night games - Sterling is allowed to actully say something..
 
Brandy is terrible. In fact most of the Fox sports commentators are terrible. I think sometimes they are afraid of pointing out blatant mistakes by the refs esp if it leads to a try. There were a large number of questionable passes in that Penrith game that never got mentioned .
 
I can't handle the games commentated in NZ, I can handle the accent anywhere else, but watching footy it just does my head in hearing the accent lol
 
BRET.. that and saying Beast every 5 secs!!! haha but i prefer bozo Gus Gould when he commentates than the entire fox sports crew… except Andy Raymond, because he actually just commentates on the game, using the highs and lows of the game!!
 
Yep I have to agree - Gus gould is the best. Well usually. Sometimes he has been guilty of predicting 2 conflicting things in a game then claiming 'i said it from the start' lol
 
When Brandy speaks he sounds like a little school boy. His voice cracks like he's still going through puberty and he's always going "Eh, um, eh, oh…" before he says what he's thinking.
