Greg Inglis, the Bunnies and karma

Before the Rabbitohs made a play for Greg Inglis earlier this year, they were already regarded as one of the premiership favourites for the 2011 season. But ever since they decided they wanted him, things have not only fallen apart for them, but improved for the other teams involved in the situation.

Look at what's happened to the Bunnies since Inglis came on the radar:

1) They had to ship their local junior Beau Champion to the Storm. It was announced today that Champion will be joining the Titans next year on a three-year deal.

2) Their forward pack has been completely decimated by injuries.

3) Their halfback Chris Sandow has signed with the Eels for four years, which surely wouldn't have happened if they hadn't pursued Inglis.

4) They have struggled through an inconsistent 3-5 start to the season.

Elsewhere, the team Inglis left (the Storm) and the team he had originally planned to join (the Broncos) are both enjoying great starts and look like top four contenders right now.

Now, I'm sure some of you probably think this is all hogwash but you have to chuckle a bit at how the situation has turned out.

I am just pleased he is not playing against wests-tigers on sat night. :sunglasses:

in relation to above post, bad luck for souths.
