Groat

Groat will play origin one day … Just hope he's still with us when he reaches that potential.
He was still a boy this season and was belted by hard heads ... Teo's hit an obvious low light. But so long as he isn't thrown to the wolves again and held back until he's ready ... He'll be a real goodun.

The bloke is a baby, especially by front row standards. I think he could be a very, very good. My main concern with him, and unfortunately it's a major problem , is his lack of agility. If he doesn't improve that, he is doomed. On his form this year, he was hung out to dry an exposed due to our lack of depth in that area. It should never have happened. The positive to come from it, is his deficiencies were made very clear for him so there is no secret on what he needs to do.
People need to remember the hammering Gibbs copped on here over the years and how much he has improved from his mid 20's onwards. Props don't peak until their late 20's and even early 30's for some. Woods is a freak! Be patient with Groat. If he's looked after properley, i'm confident he will be a more than handy prop, but at his age, it could be another 5 or 6 years before it's seen consistently.

I've never compared Groat to Woods. **I've compared him to every opposing prop and he has be found wanting.** I like all your loyalty but he's no good in my opinion.

Again, unfair comparisons….he's had 6 or 7 runs in NRL for christs sake, as furious said, hes a bub in NRL terms, spring chick.

Im not sure if he;'ll make it or not, but hes on a hiding to nothing here

I'm confident he can bounce back next season. He's only 20 and has hit best football in front of him. He's one of the strongest players at the Tigers so hopefully with a big off-season he improves hit fitness and can hit the ground running a bit better next year.

He has potential once he settles in first grade and not float between nyc and nrl
