Groat

Definitely.

But I felt for him when he gave away two penalties in 4 or 5 tackles to invite Manly back into the game. It will come with experience.

He is struggling with the pace of the game a little at present, it is a massive step up for him. He does have a wonderful future, he will be a much better player in 12 -18 months time.

a great young fella with heaps of potential, I like his go forward doesnt run sideways like the one off to cronulla. Has a similar build to Blocker too.

I think we definately kept the right player. Shows alot of heart

Lots of potential will pick up the pace of FG as he plays more and after a full off season with the NRL side and he is only 19 and like Woods at 20 will still make some mistakes but a lot of potential in those 2

So much potential.
Few silly mistakes tonight but massive future ahead.

What, manboobs?

I wasnt critising him at all, I think he is a great player. In 12 months he will be dominating games, not busting his gut to keep up. Any liabilties he does have are to be expected at this stage of his development.

Another good effort from him this week in FG. Loving his man child looks and hard running.

Tough test for him last night against a seasoned forward pack and a side running second in the comp. Groat did not have the benefit of training with FG during last pre-season and that will most certainly change for the next pre-season where he can get stuck into the weights and work hard on his fitness and trim some of the puppy fat off him. We're seeing the benefits with Aaron Woods having trained last pre-season with the top squad and I reckon Groat will come along nicely next season with a higher fitness level, a couple of kilos lighter and a bit stronger.

The good thing is that Woods, Groat and BMM should all continue to develop physically for the next couple of seasons - They're all very young and their strength and endurance levels should continue to improve if they do all the right things.

Yes …... this kid is definitely the next Blocker Roach.
With the right training and mentoring this young fella has representive written all over him.
