Halatau should give Trent Robbo a call for tips on a Winning culture

Its funny, Robbo just has this way about him doesnt he? Seems unassuming even slightly laid back all the while producing results. Its not just his roster, he has them up almost every week. Good man manager as well as coach.

Im not sure about that. Last year was terrible from them. When they performed a few years back they had a team stacked with big guns. It could have been classed as a monumental failure had they not performed when Sonny Bill was here. I like the guy though.

I would swap him in a nanosecond for what we have now at least he cares about the image of the club

Lets not forget the rosters that both coaches are working with. Theyre oceans apart in terms of experience, size and ability. (9s aside)

Attitudes in what you want your club to be or how you want them appear to be have nothing to do with what you have in talent it is how you want to project your image as a club.Sure it is easier with a strong roster but to lie down and have a poor attitude sends out all the wrong messages and not what we need to be.Attitude and pride is everything.

Last year was bad from them but you could argue any team losing Maloney, Sheck and Jennings as well as having Pearce, Cordner and Hargraves unavailable for over half the season would struggle. The games i saw from them were close with unlucky loses and they unearthed some good talent that helped them win the 9s today.
Robbo took them to 3 straight minor premierships dont let a year hampered by extenuating circumstances cloud your judgement. Theyll be right up there this year again im sure of it.

Yeah have to agree, I think last year was an aberration.

They'll be thereabouts this year.

Im not disagreeing with that at all. Just comparing results and team lists. On field, the rorters for the last few years have had a head start with their roster. It's hard to compare a coach's results with that being the case. Taylor didn't have to say they didn't care about the nines. It was obvious with the guys sent over there that they had little interest in the outcome. But the players themselves on day one seemed to not care at all and I guess that has to come back to the coach to a degree. It wasn't a good look.
