Has this ever happened before

The most high profile player of a club that has spent his entire career at the same club and going to end his tenure in a way that will ruin his legacy. Most greats of there clubs get the lap of honour to the adulation of the fans, this will be the furthest thing happening on Benji Marshalls last game….I can never remember such a thing happening before!

I will be cheering him on the lap of honor…....10% for his service to our club but 90% because he is leaving.

A Win Win situation....LOL

I generally don't like people with banners at games (every time I see that little gaggle of Dragons fans they show on TV every single game I think they could just replace the wording on all the banners with the phrase "LOOK AT ME"). But I'm actually contemplating making one for the Souths game. It will read: "BENJI: WE'LL LOVE YOU AGAIN IF YOU TAKE ANASTA WITH YOU".

Paul Vautin captained AUS, Qld and a grand final winning Manly team but spent a lot of his final year in Reserve Grade at Easts. I'm pretty sure he only played in the top grade for the last game of the year off the bench because Easts had missed the Finals. To be fair to Vautin, at least he played Reserves instead of spitting the dummy.

It's a real shame but he only has himself and the bad advice he received from his fossil manager to blame. He could of walked out with dignity .

I think he deserves a cheer and support. He has attracted fans, sponsors and has done his best for most of his time with us. Let him move on, and then we move on.

I don't quite get those who want to judge him by the last 10% of his time with us. Childish.

The only reason he is being judged by his last 10% is because he is now bringing the club down and not even trying! Yes hes done great things for the club but right now he is just insulting his supporters and just simply should not be running out the way he is playing as a supporter of the whole team it kills me to see any player not trying 100% or just not giving a damn. If they hook him now i might be able to remember him as a club ledgend like he should be. Mabey?

I agree with this 100%. He has been great for us.

At the same time I'm glad he is going.

don't think so, the way he's finished his career with us has been nothing short of diabolical. His legacy has been tainted.
