Head in dangerous position

it's been a looong weekend..

been watching a lot of nrl games lately and something i noticed was how often players duck their head and crouch down when hitting the ball up. inevitably, the tacklers end up making a high tackle which leads to a penalty.

i absolutely hate it. afl has a rule that if you put your head in a dangerous position, it's a free kick against you and the same should apply in the nrl. this is different to landing on the ball to gain posession, this is a deliberate attempt to win penalties and something i wouldnt be surprised if they're being coached to do so.

hope to see this rule change for the welfare of the players and for a free flowing football game.

Then you have the Beau Scott tackle on Thurston. If we already have had 9 week suspension this should be 9 plus!
Then Thurston who could not take a trick has Uate fall over if front of him and is placed on report for a high shot. It should be Uate striking the arm of Thurston with his head!
