Heritage Round?

Okay, I can understand the significance of some of the games. Tigers-Dragons, Roosters-Bulldogs, Sea Eagles-Sharks and Broncos-Cowboys. But where is the heritage in the rest?

They could have also had:

Raiders vs Panthers ('90 and '91 grand finals)
Eels vs Knights (one of the other '90s GFs) or Eels vs Storm ('08 GF)

Eels and Knights played in the 2001 GF, not in the 90's. Eels and Storm was 2009\. FYI.
