When I read the twitter post or whatever it was, I'm sure it said that a kid gave Cleary a thumbs up or something. IS that right? Did it mean like a bird flicking action or something? Was it an index finger rather than a thumb in an F.U gesture? Anyway, Cleary responded with a similar gesture back to the child right?
What the heck is that all about? That's where the apology should be aimed. It's hard to imagine that Cleary can't hold his anger towards a child and then takes aim at a father in the manner he did if that's what'actually went down. But maybe I've got the story wrong. Anyway, the guys a (insert chosen expletive here)

Agree, I equate it to an ex wife (of which I have one) who did the wrong thing and you remaining bitter and angry about it. At some stage you have to pick yourself up and get on with things and have a better life without her. Much prefer Madge to Cleary. Be thankful and move on.

It's actually good for us, though. That'll surely sting for our players. I'd get a big poster of it in the clubhouse as motivation: If you lose the game opposing coaches get to act like that.

But yeah, he's a fool. It's just dumb from him. He talks about the sort of club he wants the panthers to be in his press conference and then he acts like a brat after a win. He's a smug bugger, and it hurts because his clubs going great and they just beat us and we lost our cool, so we don't have much to say.

I also don't think we should be talking about violence, even light-heartedly, that sort of thing gets misconstrued these days and we should also put Ivan's behaviour in a broader context of things that actually matter. But yeah, didn't think I could develop a lower opinion of him than I had already but then he goes and acts like that.

I would bet you a lot of money that the players wouldn’t give a damn about what he did. If you think they as emotional as supporters you’d be wrong.

Probably not most of them, but the ones who signed with us to play under him would have been filthy I think.

Do you ever get your "panties in a bunch" about anything on here or elsewhere @innsaneink or are you one of those blokes who are cool, calm and collected all the time?
This is a very emotional subject for a lot of people on here, and IMO we are all entitled to express our thoughts and emotions as we feel we need to (without being personally abusive) without you telling us we are getting our "panties in a bunch".
I'm also very surprised and disappointed that our Club's chief defender @cochise
hasn't come out strongly against Cleary in this matter.

I get where you’re coming from mate, but he’s kind of right . Cleary is a goose , so is Gallen . Now that the panthers old boys have control of the NSW team (Fittler and Alexander), this will be the narrative for the next 10 years.
We just have to suck it up , and accept that sometimes the bad guys win the battle . Hopefully with Madge , the COE and all the good off field things that over the next ten years we win the war .
This can only be with on field success . So screw Captain Peptides and Voldemort. They’re broth clearly lacking any moral fibre

If Wests Tigers don't put pressure on the NRL to sanction Cleary re "inciting the crowd" @Elderslie_Tiger I will tend to think we are a weak club.
Cleary didn't apologize for his disgraceful display in purposely belittling one of our fans when he said.... "it was just an incident, I PROBABLY wish I didn't do anything".
Imo when you put down our fans you are at the same time putting down Wests Tigers.
The twitter article I have quoted went on to say...."While Wests Tigers officials and fans weren't impressed with Cleary's behaviour, MOST recognised that it only adds to the theatre and builds on tension between the two clubs, which ultimately increased interest"....Really!....The response I have noticed from 99% of people on this forum is of disgust....so who are the Wests Tigers officials that don't see it that way and are therefore condoning Cleary's action?
Imo the only sort of theatre and tension that Cleary blowing kisses to a Wests Tigers fan develops.... is the start of the sort of tension that exists between English soccer hooligans, where opposing fans actually hate each other, and act on it.
If this is the style of fan base that develops due to Cleary's stupidity....I don't want any part of it.

Cleary should first and foremost apologise to the Wests tigers fans and club for digging us in a big hole with his Signings and the way he left our club.
