Hodgson vs Liddle

Its a no brainer, Lids was coming back from injury last year and did well, he is only going to get better for it this year, Hodgo also coming back from injury and only at the end, showed some sort of form, age is against him. No way would he be scoring that try against Panthers. Keep Lids, save our money, we have two hookers already, and buy someone we actually need. There is no need to pannick buy

Yeah perhaps a better strategy would of been to back liddle.

That's what I'm starting to think.

I just hope we can keep our nerve as the current situation unfolds.
There should be plenty of opportunities for teams like WT with Redcliffe needing an NRL ready team by 23. Clubs will be forced to review existing contracts with their star players, as the player market forces a premium on contracts. WT are in the enviable position of not having too many players other clubs would target, while at the same time having a reasonably well balanced cap.
Buying a 32yo Hodgson can only mean the club has given up on Lids?
Just hope we don’t go too early.

The club seems desperate to buy a leader for the spine.
It is quite possible they have already purchased one in Hastings but he has to readjust to NRL before we can state that to be correct.
The big recruitment miss was Reynolds IMO. He could have helped our young spine characters transition to guns, whilst directing play around the field and elevating our attack. If we kept Brooks, it may have helped him by seeing a pro do it week in week out right in front of him.

hurry up Tigers and make the swap Liddle for Hodgo

They're holding out for our super star Simpkin.

Trouble is that will be at least 2 years and Hodgson will be 34 by then.

Liddle has done plenty in 5 years and 64 games Russ
Simpkin is the future not Liddle he needs experie ce with him
