Just read an article on this happen g to a couple on QLD.... Googling it seems it's happening a bit.
Would a conveyancing solicitor have avoided these problems for these buyers
I'd never buy off the plan anyway... Work. In building. Management. And. See. The quality of new constructions, very poor
Didn't realise off the plan could be advertised before a SA was approved.... Terrible
Harish Samineni saved for years for a deposit for a piece of land on Sydney's outskirts where he planned to build his dream home for his family.
He signed a contract in February for the land in the Futurity Rise estate in Box Hill, one Sydney's newest suburban frontiers, 50 kilometres from the city.
But he says he was shocked when the contract was recently rescinded by the developer because of a sunset clause pending on a successful development application before council.
He later found out the developer did not own the land.
