Hooker position - Thread

Not really I don't think Doggies fans like anyone who plays for them..a trait not to dissimilar to here of late..

Lets see Brooks nup Taylor nup Eisenhuth nup Packer nup Lawrence nup Mataulino nup Nofoaluma nup Lolohea nup..Chee-Kam nup nup nup….

Absolutely no to Lichaa. He cannot pass, and that is the first thing you want in your hooker.

You watch much league?
That's all Des had him doing….

I do watch a lot. Passing and passing well are completely different. He's like godinet, he stifles the attack. The bulldogs fans can't stand him so that should give you a good indication as well.

I started watching Liccha out of interest when the fans were divided over whether his game was being stifled by Des's coaching, and or if he just didnt cut it. Dont think they are too
divided about him anymore, they would be more than happy to see him gone. . and I too prefer it wasnt to us.

Liicha was a gun.
He showed great ability in the world cup.

Surrounded by nuffies at the doggies, beside Jackson and Klemmer so ofc he's gonna look bad. Along with poor coaching….

Peepe need to relax a bit on Liddle.

Robbie Farah did his knee in 2004 and went on to play uninterrupted most of his career.

Benji we could has tossed out several times with injury.

Lidless very young his career. He is a very good player I believe.

The situation is no ideal at the moment. But signing Lichhaa to me would be a panic.

I would take RF for the rest of the season whilst Liddle nursed his injuries as a short term solution for 2018\. But understand that is unlikely so we will just have to mix and match.

Bottom line I think Liddle is our future 9 from 2019 we just have to be patient.

Really hard to make a call based on about 25-30 minutes of footy

His enthusiasm helped , but would it be better served in the halves than in the 9

He looked really frustrated in the trials at 9 , I think even Ink commented on it as well ….

We will get a better picture after tomorrow I guess

Anyone get the feeling that Liddle might play one week , rest the next for a while to come unless the Pec injuries worsens ......

What pec injuries DR happy..

The Pec you told us about Nurse Geo remember , could have played if needed I think your exact words were ….....

Pecs injuries don't disappear in a week , unless they are fictitious ..........

A bruised sternum is not a pec injury but still, it doesn't heal in a week especially if you turn around and play a game of footy while you have it and put some nice rotational forces through your sternum while passing to aggravate it…

Then I think we need to look at this long term and give me the time it takes to heal before playing again. He has looked a shadow of himself playing injured so there is no use of him playing until he is right.

I seem to recall in last weeks game one of the commentators saying that Liddle was wearing some sort of protective cover over his sternum, someone mentioned it I'm sure.

Not ideal.

Sternum injuries are awful. I've had a sternotomy, not sure of the nature of fractures but where my collarbone meets the sternum, I have exposed nerves as the sternum never healed correctly where it meets the clavicle. You only need place the tiniest bit of pressure on the little nubs of bone and the pain is excruciating, and aches for days afterward.

More Back to the Future …...

It may be with Farah happy ….. however it’s not going to happen. Yes our future with Liddle could pay off but it’s our present hooker candidates that are stagnating our attack. Hopefully ET can improve

Is it something he can get over in the short term or are we looking at most of the season?

So if you are too aggressive in the bedroom your missus soon stops you in your tracks?

Maybe you have go one of those sternum protectors. Kinky.

Yeah I can't quite see it unfortunately. His energy is great but his service is slow, think he would look much better at 6.

Liddle had one bad game and we're tossing him out? He's still first choice for mine. Reynolds to play 9 when Liddle comes off though if Benji is on the bench. We just need some time for our first string team to gel.

I said in another thread tonza, when I cracked my sternum many years ago playing league,it took nearly 12 months to heal,I couldnt play for 8 weeks and even after that time it was very, very tender…when you do weights, swim, pass the ball etc the movements can impede the healing process and the pain is excruciating...I cracked the sternum right in the middle of my chest.....
